Day 1: Arrival in Zurich
We will organize a private transfer to your hotel for a short rest after your long flight. The Widder Hotel is a 5* boutique luxury hotel situated conveniently close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse in the heart of Zurich's Old Town. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and invite you for a city stroll through Zurich.

Day 2: Zurich → Engadin
You will leave Switzerland's biggest city behind you and head up north to Europes biggest waterfall - the Rhine falls. By boat, you get on the Rock in the middle of the falls to understand the power of this natural spectacle.
For lunch, we will stop in St. Gallen to discover the UNESCO world heritage, the Abbey district of St. Gallen. Its magnificent Baroque cathedral forms a unique historical ensemble. The Abbey Library - with Switzerland's most beautiful hall and ancient books will fascinate you.
With no more time to spend your guide will bring you safely to your hotel in the Engadin.
Built in 1911 Suvretta House is an oasis of rest and recuperation.

Day 3: Engadin
The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace for winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.
Your guide will take you on a train ride on the Bernina Express (First Class) to Tirano and back. Offering breathtaking views on the surrounding peaks, glaciers and Italy this UNESCO world heritage doesn't leave any wishes open.
To round up the day your guide will take you on a short hike, depending on your preferred theme (glaciers, legends, or other).
Day 4: Engadin → Lucerne
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express (First Class) train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps.
On your trip from St Moritz, the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
You can sit back and relax - your guide will take care of your luggage and will pick you up again in Andermatt. From here a spectacular car ride awaits you through the Schöllenengorge before the valley opens again for Lake Lucerne.
A boat ride on one of the historical boats will make it a great arrival in Lucerne.
Situated on the shores of Lake Lucerne yet wonderfully central, you'll find the Grand Hotel National.

Day 5: Lucerne → Interlaken
Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art. Your guide will take you on a city stroll to discover this gem in the heart of Switzerland.
Shortly after we are out of Lucerne we would like to show you something special: The Glasi Hergiswil is the only remaining glasswork in Switzerland where glass is still blown and shaped by hand. Discover how glass is manufactured and watch the glassblowers work with your own eyes.
Just a short ride away the Aare gorge awaits you. It was formed over thousands of years by the Aare Glacier. Discover, feel and experience a natural wonder up close.
At the end of today the VICTORIA-JUNGFRAU Grand Hotel & Spa welcomes you. Situated in the scenic heart of Switzerland, it enjoys a privileged and picturesque location, between two beautiful lakes and at the foot of the eternally snow-capped Jungfrau mountain.

Day 6: Interlaken (Top of Europe)
Your guide will take you up to the Jungfraujoch. This experience will take your breath away. The view on the Alps' largest glacier - the Aletsch, as well as the surrounding four thousand meter peaks can only be described as stunning. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it from your first step: this is a different world.
To admire the notorious Eiger North Face your guide will take you on a short hike for a better understanding of what was the Alps' last big climbing challenge and its tragedies.
Day 7: Interlaken → Zermatt
Leaving the majestic mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau behind us the next natural highlight will be just around the corner.
Lake Oeschinen is a Unesco World Heritage Site and considered by many to be the most beautiful mountain lake in the Alps. It lies above Kandersteg and is an intact mountain lake fed by the glacial streams of the three-thousand-meter peaks Blüemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn and Doldenhorn. Your guide will take you on this short hike before we will make our way to Zermatt.
The hotel shuttle will pick us up at the gates of Zermatt where we will leave our car behind as this mountain resort is totally car-free, benefitting the alpine flair together with its location of Switzerland's most epic mountain - the Matterhorn.

*this will be the only 4* hotel on your tour. At this time of the year, all other 5* hotels are already closed and will open again for the winter season.
Day 8: Zermatt → Montreux
To get closer to Switzerland's natural landmark we will include the cable car up to the Glacier Paradise, at Europe's highest cable car station (3883 meters). One of the highlights is certainly the platform with a view over 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps. The glacier paradise is an underground ice sculpture spectacle.
Not close enough to the Matterhorn? You could add a helicopter ride around the Matterhorn to explore the beauty of the Alps in all its diversity.
Lastly, we will leave the mountain resorts behind us to get to Lake Geneva and the Montreux Riviera.

Day 9: Montreux → Geneva
The Montreux Palace is known as the Pearl of the Swiss Riviera, this Belle Époque gem built in 1906 stands majestically on the shores of Lake Geneva in the center of Montreux offering a breathtaking view over the lake and the Alps.
Before leaving Switzerland you will spend the day on the shores of Lake Geneva. Depending on the time of your departure you have the chance to visit the famous Chillon Castle, go on a wine tour in Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage) and/or your guide will take you on a city walk through the old town of Geneva.
