Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Zurich
Your hotel is located conveniently close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping distric) in the heart of Zurich's Old Town. A great way to discover Zurich and to learn a little more about its history are the Free Walking Tours.
The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.
Day 2: Zurich to St. Moritz
Let's start this tour Swiss-like: with chocolate! Just around the corner, on the shores of Lake Zurich lies the chocolate factory and museum of Lindt.
On your way to the Alps, you will pass the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise. A short boat cruise will bring you to the Seerenbachfalls, the highest waterfalls in Switzerland. It is only a short walk to get closer to this natural spectacle. A small farm restaurant invites to linger around.
If you would like to do some shopping or equip yourselves for your next days in the mountains, you might want to stop by at the Landquart fashion outlet. The train ride into the Engadin valley is a highlight itself.
Day 3: St. Moritz to Lugano
The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. It was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.
*Possible Extension | + 1 night in the Engadin valley (highly recommended):
Enjoy a train ride on the UNESCO world heritage Bernina tracks offering breathtaking views on the surrounding peaks, take the cable car to Diavolezza with its impressive glacier panorama, or visit the alpine cheesery Morteratsch. Your kids (and maybe yourself) will be happy to rent a bike and enjoy the ride in the beautiful Val Fex.
Day 4: Lugano to Lucerne:
Welcome to Lugano, the largest town of the Italian-speaking canton of Switzerland. The city with its Mediterranean flair lies in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano. For one of the best viewpoints over the town, the lake and its surrounding mountains, we recommend taking the funicular railway up Monte Brè, considered the sunniest mountain in Switzerland. Romanic villages and numerous hiking trails are waiting to be discovered.
In the afternoon it is time to head north to Lucerne.

Day 5: Lucerne to Interlaken:
Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.
With the lake winding its way through the mountain scenery, a boat cruise is a perfect way for great views of famous mountains like the Stanserhorn, Mount Rigi and Pilatus. You might also want to take the oldest cogwheel train of Switzerland up Mount Rigi before its time to make your way to Interlaken in the heart of the Bernese Oberland.
Day 6: Interlaken:
Rafting (included): The mighty Lütschine offers some of the best whitewater rafting in the Swiss Alps. Straight from the start below the Eiger north face, continuous class III-IV rapids surge down from the mountains and out into the Interlaken valley and the Lake of Brienz. It is an exhilarating rush from start to finish.
Jungfraujoch (optional):
Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
Day 7: Interlaken to Montreux
Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
Today I recommend combining food and hiking - get yourself a prepacked fondue rucksack and hike to one of the giant fondue pots (seating areas) to enjoy your delicious fondue. The area of Gstaad and Zweisimmen is known for its cheese delicacies.
In the afternoon we will organize a wine degustation tour. For your kids, there will be a possible alternative with fruit juice and snacks.
Day 8: Montreux to Bern:
In the morning we would like to invite you to a visit to the medieval Chillon Castle.
For the afternoon we would suggest strolling around in Bern's cute Old-Town which is also a UNESCO world heritage site; and are you aware that the bear is not only the symbol of the canton? Bears live in the city center in a pit right on the other riverside of the old town.
Day 9: Bern to Zurich Airport:
Bern is very well connected by train directly to Zurich's airport. That gives you some time to do some souvenir shopping. With a little more time to spend you may want to stop in the canton of Aargau, the cultural heart of Switzerland with its castles and roman sites.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
Possible Extension: + 1 night in Zermatt:
The car-free town of Zermatt is located at the foot of the Matterhorn. The peak lift takes you up to the 360º viewing platform on Europe’s highest mountain station 'Klein Matterhorn', from where you can see 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers. A must-see is also Zermatt’s glacier paradise.
