Trip Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Zurich:
We will organize a private transfer from Zurich Airport to your hotel, located in the heart of the city, close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) and Zurich's Old Town - perfect for your day of arrival to go spontaneously for a short walk and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.
To get rid of the Jetlag you may want to climb up the twin towers of the Grossmünster, which are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, but you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.
Day 2: Zurich to St. Moritz
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to the Rhine Valley. You will pass the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty Churfirsten mountains arise and will make a photo stop here and there.
Through the Heidi land and over the Julier Pass we will arrive in the Engadin - a high alpine plateau in the Alps. In the early afternoon, we'll arrive at the alpine cheesery Morteratsch and can follow every step of making this swiss delicacy with your own eyes
Day 3: St. Moritz to Lucerne
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps.
On your trip from St Moritz, the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
In Andermatt, your guide will pick you up again, will drive you safely to Lake Lucerne, and invite you onto a scenic boat cruise to Lucerne itself.
Day 4: Lucerne to Grindelwald:
Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world - so we'll take a walk through before its time to get into the Bernese Oberland.
Over the Brünig Pass we will enter the Bernese Oberland. The Aare Gorge was formed over thousands of years by the Aare Glacier. Quiet splashing, loud roaring, glacial water, glacial mills, limestone formations. Discover, feel and experience a natural wonder up close. Safely experience geology and glaciology through tunnels and over footbridges.
Grindelwald First - Paragliding (optional)
Experience the spectacular views of the Eiger Northface and the mountain peaks of the Jungfrau Region. "After a short introduction, we run a few steps together down a gentle slope and suddenly we glide silently into the air. The flight takes us high above the Grindelwald valley whilst the majestic mountain scenery of Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn and Eiger Northface always lies in front of us. An unforgettable experience for all those who are enthusiastic about the idea of flying!"
Day 5: Grindelwald / Jungfrau:
This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
Day 6: Grindelwald to Gstaad
We'll start this day under the surface: The St. Beatus Caves high above Lake Thun are a chance to discover a unique underground world.
Later on, we get off into Fondue Land - combine food and a short walk. Your guide will organize a prepacked fondue rucksack and walk with you to one of the giant fondue pots (seating areas) to enjoy your delicious fondue. The area of Gstaad and Zweisimmen is known for ist cheese delicacies.
Day 7: Gstaad to Geneva
We'll start this day swiss-like with a visit to the chocolate factory of Cailler. A stop in the medieval town of Gruyère with its castle and the cute marketplace is a must!
Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
Then you will follow the northern shoreline to Geneva, home of the UN, ICRC, and numerous other NGOs. Depending on your interest and time until departure, we are happy to organize a guided tour through the UN or CERN. Take the evening to stroll around in Geneva, through its old-town, the flower watch or the famous Jet-d'eau. For your guide, it is time to say goodbye this evening.
Day 8: Departure from Geneva
The airport of Geneva is the closest one in Europe. Within 7 minutes and regular departing trains, this is the easiest and fastest way to get to the airport. This will allow you to get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake as well.
