Day 1: Arrival in Zurich
We will organize a private transfer to your hotel for a short rest after your long flight. The Widder Hotel is a 5* boutique luxury hotel situated conveniently close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse in the heart of Zurich's Old Town. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and invite you for a city stroll through Zurich.
Day 2: Zurich → Engadin
You will leave Switzerland's biggest city behind you and make your way to the beautiful Engadin valley. It won't take long until your first stop: The Lindt-Home of chocolate, where the biggest Lindt Chocolate Shop (500 m2) and the spectacular Lindt chocolate fountain are waiting for you, as well as an interactive chocolate tour to discover all about the Swiss cultural heritage of chocolate.
On your way to the Engadin valley, you will pass the beautiful Walensee from where the almighty Churfirsten mountains arise. Also, why not stop for a little shopping in the Landquart fashion outlet in the Rhine valley. Be inspired by more than 75 stores and over 160 brands.
You will stay 2 nights in the Suvretta House luxury hotel. Built in 1911 Suvretta House is an oasis of rest and recuperation.
Day 3: Engadin
The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace for winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.
Your guide will take you on a train ride on the Bernina line until Alp Grüm, offering breathtaking views on the surrounding peaks, glaciers and Italy. To round up the day your guide will take you on a short hike, depending on your preferred theme (glaciers, legends, or other).
Day 4: Engadin → Interlaken
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express (First Class) train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps.
On your trip from St Moritz, the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
You can sit back and relax - your guide will take care of your luggage and will pick you up again in Andermatt. From here a spectacular car ride awaits you over several mountain passes and past the Rhone glacier to get to Interlaken.
The VICTORIA-JUNGFRAU Grand Hotel & Spa welcomes you for 2 nights and is situated in the scenic heart of Switzerland. It enjoys a privileged and picturesque location, between two beautiful lakes and at the foot of the eternally snow-capped Jungfrau mountain.
Day 5: Interlaken (Top of Europe)
Your guide will take you up to the Jungfraujoch. This experience will take your breath away. The view on the Alps' largest glacier - the Aletsch, as well as the surrounding four thousand meter peaks can only be described as stunning. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it from your first step: this is a different world.
To admire the notorious Eiger North Face your guide will take you on a short hike for a better understanding of what was the Alps' last big climbing challenge and its tragedies.
Day 6: Interlaken → Lucerne
Before arriving in Lucerne we would like to show you something special: The Glasi Hergiswil is the only remaining glasswork in Switzerland where glass is still blown and shaped by hand. Discover how glass is manufactured and watch the glassblowers work with your own eyes.
From there it is only a short ride to Lucerne. It ranks amongst the world's prettiest cities and is rich in sights and attractions.
Situated on the shores of Lake Lucerne yet wonderfully central, you'll find the Grand Hotel National, your stay for the last night.
Day 7: Lucerne - Zurich
Depending on when your flight departs, your guide will take you on a boat ride on one of Lucerne's historic ships and might add another surprise or two to your trip if time permits.
Your guide will drop you off directly at the airport and leaves you with many unforgettable moments from Switzerland.
