Discover Switzerland and our Partners

We cheese-makers from Turtmann love to be peeked into the pot. Especially since we are also actively involved every day in carefully processing the fresh mountain milk into the unmistakable raclette cheese. Visitors can find out how this is done and what it takes on the second floor of the modern show dairy, where 320 tons of Raclette du Valais AOP Valais 65 are produced every year.

The offer inspires families and at the same time gives an ideal meeting space for teams, groups or associations.

The showroom (about 100 m2) can also be rented and is ideal for conferences, conventions, meetings and private gatherings up to about 50 people.

The Chapel Bridge (German: Kapellbrücke) is a wooden footbridge spanning across the Reuss River in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. It is considered one of the oldest wooden bridges in Europe, and one of the city's most famous landmarks. The bridge was built in 1333 and was originally used as a means of transportation, but today it serves primarily as a tourist attraction. It has a length of 204 meters and is covered by a roof that protects visitors from the elements.

Along the bridge, there are also triangular paintings that depict scenes from Lucerne's history. The bridge was damaged in a fire in 1993, but has since been rebuilt to its original appearance.

Long-distance hike along the Bern-Luzern border, in six stages through Emmental and Entlebuch, up the Brienzer Rothorn and on to the Brünigpass. En route: many activities and information on history, culture and landscape of the border region.

The Grenzpfad Napfbergland is a long-distance hike between Emmental and Entlebuch. A route along the cantonal border between Bern and Luzern, where hostile skirmishes were still taking place 150 years ago. The Grenzpfad likes to cross borders on its way from the baroque buildings of the former St. Urban Monastery along rugged, romantic paths up to the Brünigpass. The route runs through the gently rolling Emmental landscape, through the Entlebuch biosphere reserve and has no shortage of summits: Napf, Wachthubel, Marbachegg and the Brienzer Rothorn to name but a few.

The Museum has much more than a brewery collection within its walls, it is the witness of an enormous emotional heritage, that of a unique link between Fribourg and its first real industry, the Cardinal brewery.

Who would have bet that this small brewery built at the Auberge du Saumon on the banks of the Sarine in 1788 would have known such a destiny?
