Insurance We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance (covering return travel expenses, luggage, accident, etc.) to mitigate travel risks if you do not already have sufficient insurance coverage.
5.1. Cancellation Initiated by You Up to the commencement of the cancellation period, a general processing fee of CHF 60.– per person applies for cancellations or modifications (such as name changes, alterations to travel dates, or changes in accommodation), not exceeding CHF 120.– per order. For tailor-made trips specially curated for you, this amount is doubled due to the substantial additional effort involved. Following the commencement of the cancellation period, conditions outlined in paragraph 5.2. come into effect. 5.2. In the event of a necessary cancellation, you are required to promptly notify CYou in writing. The cancellation becomes effective upon CYou's receipt of your written notice. The cancellation fee is determined according to the following formula, based on the number of days before the trip start: 55 to 30 days: 30% of the trip price 29 to 15 days: 50% of the trip price 14 to 8 days: 80% of the trip price 7 to 0 days: 100% of the trip price For clients referred by Zicasso, the 20% deposit is non-refundable at the time of confirmation. No refund is applicable for late arrivals, early departures, or any unused services/activities included in the price. Nevertheless, CYou will make every effort to secure a refund for missed activities, excluding minor activities or situations where a refund would violate legal or official regulations. All activities are undertaken at your own risk, and CYou is responsible for executing agreed-upon services within safety limits. In urgent cases, such as your illness, accident, or the serious illness or death of a close person, CYou will assist in organizing an early return journey. 5.2.1. Deviating Cancellation Costs Details regarding deviating cancellation costs can be found in the respective program announcement or on the order confirmation. 5.3. Substitute Person If you are unable to embark on the booked trip, you have the option to propose a substitute willing to assume the trip under the same conditions. CYou will only charge the processing fee in this case. The entry of a replacement person is subject to consultation with your travel agency, considering organizational factors such as the visa acquisition period. The replacement person must meet specific travel requirements, with no legal or regulatory impediments to their participation. Upon the arrival of a replacement person, you remain personally liable to CYou, in addition to the replacement person, for the payment of the travel arrangement and any associated fees.
7.1. Cancellations for reasons for which you are accountable CYou is entitled to cancel a trip if you give legitimate cause through your actions or omissions. In this case, CYou will refund the travel price already paid - further claims are excluded. Cancellation costs and further claims for damages remain reserved. 7.2. Not enough participants For some trips we offer, there is a minimum number of participants, which can vary. If there are too few participants in a trip or if there are special circumstances that force CYou to change the services offered on the website or the offer before departure, CYou can cancel the trip at least 22 days before the scheduled start of the trip. In this case, we strive to offer you an equivalent replacement program. If you waive the replacement program, we will reimburse you for all payments that have already been made, plus a handling fee of CHF 60 per person booked, up to a maximum of CHF 120 per order. Further claims for compensation are excluded. 7.3. Force majeure and strikes If a trip cannot be started from CYou's point of view or must be stopped prematurely due to force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, political unrest), official or legal measures, or due to strikes, CYou is authorized to subtract from the reimbursement of your payment the amount of proven expenses already done by CYou. Further claims for compensation are excluded.
Claims for damages against CYou for whatever reason expire within one year. The limitation period begins on the day following the end of the booked travel arrangement.
