Day 1: Arrival in Zurich
We will organize a private transfer to your hotel for a short rest after your long flight. Your hotel is situated right on the shore of Lake Zurich only a stone's throw away from the heart of Zurich's Old Town.
Enjoy the view and go on a small city stroll through Zurich.
Day 2: Zurich → Engadin Valley
Before you arrive in the Alps we will include a visit to one of Switzerland's best chocolate manufacturers, the House of Läderrach. Enjoy an insightful and delicious tour of chocolate.
Later on, you will follow the Rhine valley, where you might want to stop to do some shopping at the Landquart Fashion Outlet which can certainly equip you with anything you need for the next few days in the mountains.
Day 3: Engadin → Zermatt
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps.
On your trip from St Moritz, the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
Day 4: Zermatt
You will have the chance to discover Zermatt on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn.
Optional: Take up the cable car to the Glacier Paradise, at Europe's highest cable car station (3883 meters). One of the highlights is certainly the platform with a view over 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps.
Optional: Not close enough? Jump on a helicopter and discover a unique view of the Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, Dent Blanche, Matterhorn, Theodulpass, Breithorn, and Gornergrat.
Optional: Would you like to escape everything and spend a night in a romantic Igloo? An unforgettable night in the Igloo-village of Zermatt includes more than just sleeping in an igloo. Your experience consists of cheese fondue, a guided snowshoe trek under the starry sky, time to enjoy the whirlpool and breakfast in the mountain restaurant.
Day 5: Zermatt → Les Diablerets → Interlaken
Follow the Valais to the famous Glacier 3000. Walk on a suspension bridge between 2 peaks and enjoy the magnificent view of the French and Swiss Alps.
Through the valley of Zweisimmen, which is well known for its cheese manufacturers you will arrive in Interlaken. Get off the train for a moment a enjoy the atmosphere of Switzerlands adventure capital. Even if you are not into adventurous sports, the flair between the mountains and the two big lakes in the Bernese Oberland will catch you.
Day 6 & 7: Jungfrau Region
Ready to face the notorious Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau? Take the train to Grindelwald and up the cable car to Kleine Scheidegg for the best view to admire the royal three.
Optional (not recommended during bad weather): Jungfraujoch - this experience will take your breath away. The view on the Alps' largest glacier - the Aletsch, as well as the surrounding four thousand meter peaks can only be described as stunning. Standing in the snow on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it from your first step: this is a different world.
Optional: Grindelwald is famous for its winter sports as well. Let us know if we can organize a snowshoeing trip or dog sledding.
Day 8 & 9: Interlaken → Lucerne:
On your way to Lucerne, you will pass the Stanserhorn on your right and Mount Pilatus on your left. We would recommend you to explore the Stanserhorn today and Mount Pilatus the day after. You will have time to explore the city of Lucerne and enjoy a boat ride on the picturesque lake.
Day 10: Lucerne → Zurich Airport:
Well connected to the Zurich Airport we leave you with many good memories of the Swiss winter wonderland.
