Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Arrival in Zurich

We will organize a private transfer from Zurich Airport to your hotel, located in the heart of the city - perfect for your day of arrival to go for a short walk and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.

Day 2: Zurich – Austria

I will meet you at your hotel and will take you to the Rhine Valley. But let's start this tour Swiss-like: with chocolate! On your way to the Alps, we will pass the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise and will visit the House of Laederach chocolate factory. Today you will visit 3 countries. Leaving Switzerland and after a stop in the small city Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, your journey will continue to Austria.

Your mountain inn is located on Lake Silvretta and is with 2,032 m the highest point of the Silvretta High Alpine Road. An oasis of peace and relaxation awaits you with the spa area including a herbal sauna, a Finnish sauna, and a relaxation room with a panoramic view.

Day 3: Austria – Engadin

Today your journey will take you further south towards St Moritz in the Engadin. The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. It was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today. Your hotel is located in the small village of Sils Maria right at the entrance of the Val Fex. Enjoy the afternoon on a horse-drawn carriage ride taking you into this wonderfully wild side valley.

Guided Tour

Day 4: Engadin

Today you have the whole day to explore this beautiful region. Enjoy a train ride on the UNESCO world heritage Bernina train offering breathtaking views on the surrounding peaks, take the cable car to Diavolezza with its impressive glacier panorama, or visit the alpine cheesery Morteratsch. No matter how you decide to spend your day, your guide will be happy to help you organize it.

Day 5: St. Moritz → Zermatt

Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps. Sit back and relax while the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.  A 3-course menu rounds everything up. For stress-less travel, I will take care of your luggage and will meet you again in Zermatt.

Day 6: Zermatt

The car-free town of Zermatt is located at the foot of the Matterhorn. The peak lift takes you up to the 360º viewing platform on Europe’s highest mountain station 'Klein Matterhorn', from where you can see 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers. A must-see is also Zermatt’s glacier paradise.

*This day is planned as a self-guided day. With everything within walking distance, your guide will provide you with everything you need in the morning.

Day 7: Zermatt – Jungfrau region

Today I take you from the canton of Valais to the Bernese Oberland. We will stop in the Kander valley and enjoy a magnificent short walk to the blueish Lakes of Oeschinen and the crystal-clear Blue Lake before we will head to the valley of the 72 waterfalls, the Lauterbrunnen valley.

Day 8: Jungfrau Region – Lucerne

You will take the cable car up to the 2,970-metre Schilthorn to enjoy the stunning view of the famous Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The Schilthorn became famous as a location for the 1969 James Bond film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”.

On our way to Lucerne, we will pass the blueish Lake Brienz. With only a short cross via boat we can explore the than by boat. Go on a short walk to explore the beautiful Giessbach Falls.

Day 9: Lucerne – Zurich Aiport

Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Visit the medieval Chapel Bridge - one of the oldest, covered wooden bridges in Europe.

With the lake winding its way through the mountain scenery, a boat cruise is a perfect way for great views of famous mountains like the Stanserhorn, Mount Rigi and Pilatus. We will invite you for a last mountain experience for this vacation, to take the oldest cogwheel train of Switzerland up Mount Rigi, the queen of all mountains.
