Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Lake Como → Lugano

Please let us know if we should organize the train tickets from Lake Como to Switzerland. From here your Swiss Travel Pass is valid.

Welcome to Lugano, the largest town in the Italian-speaking canton of Switzerland. The city with its Mediterranean flair lies in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano. For one of the best viewpoints over the town, the lake, and its surrounding mountains, we recommend taking the funicular railway up Monte Brè, considered the sunniest mountain in Switzerland. Romanic villages and numerous hiking trails are waiting to be discovered.

Day 2: Lugano → Lucerne

Luggage Service for all your traveling days: Drop off your luggage until 9 am at the reception and get it back in the evening at your new accommodation.

Once upon a time, there were knights and drawbridges. Where? In Bellinzona, of course! Take a trip back in time to its castles, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Discover all that Castelgrande, Montebello, and Sasso Corbaro before you make your way further north to Lucerne.

Day 3: Lucerne

Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Stroll around before you we will invite you on a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne.  If you are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off and hike a little part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.

As a highlight of the day, the oldest cogwheel train in Switzerland up to the top of Mount Rigi, the queen of all mountains, is included in your travel arrangement. Enjoy a glimpse of the Alps and Lake Lucerne.

Day 4: Lucerne → Iterlaken

Luggage Transfer

When entering the Bernese Oberland, have a stop in the cute town of Brienz. Cross the blueish Lake Brienz by boat and go on a short walk to explore the beautiful Giessbach Falls.

In the afternoon awaits the Harder Kulm. From the viewing platform at 1,322 meters above sea level, he would graciously look down upon Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, or admire the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. In fact, the Harder Kulm Panorama Restaurant is reminiscent of a castle.

Day 5: Interlaken → Lausanne

Luggage Transfer

Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.

Enjoy the beautiful setting of Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva. Maybe you'd like to visit the Chateau Chillon?

Day 6: Lausanne / Vevey

Lausanne was founded in the 4th century as a Roman lakeshore settlement but for greater safety, its inhabitants later moved to higher ground on the hills above the lake. This area is now Lausanne’s Old Town (Vieille Ville). Lausanne is the center of the cultural and economic life of French-speaking Switzerland. It is also the seat of the Federal Supreme Court and the location of the International Olympic Committee’s headquarters. As discussed we leave some time for Bruce to show you around.

After lunch, you will meet your guide for a walking tour through the vineyards of Lavaux incl. a degustation of regional wines.

Day 7: Lausanne

Half-day guided Lausanne tour with my favorite places in Lausanne. I'd love to share my experiences with your (Bruce's) memories.

Day 8: Lausanne → Geneva

With only 7 minutes from Geneva central station, the airport is easily accessible before your departure.

Leave your bags in the lockers at the station and take the chance to stroll around in Geneva, through its old-town, to the flower watch, or the famous Jet-d'eau.

We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
