Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Geneva → Montreux
Follow the northern shoreline of Lake Geneva to get to the the Montreux Riviera where you can enjoy the afternoon on the shores of Lake Geneva.
As part of your travel arrangement we will include the entry into the Chateau Chillon: If ever a castle could fit the fairy-tale bill, the dashingly handsome Château de Chillon would be it, with its moat, double ramparts and riot of turrets and towers, plus knockout views of Lake Geneva and the French Alps.
Day 2: Montreux → Zermatt
Continuing your train ride along the Valais (Valley) the language will change from French to German when reaching the town of Zermatt. You will have the chance to discover Zermatt on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn.
Gornergrat Train: The cogwheel railway takes you up from the village to 3,100 metres above sea level. Even the journey is a great experience with a constant view of the Matterhorn. You can’t get enough of the panorama at the top – mountains and glaciers as far as the eye can see.

Day 3: Zermatt → Grindelwald
Today you will head from the canton of Valais to the Bernese Oberland. Your train journey continues through the 14km long railway Loetschberg tunnel towards Spiez, Interlaken and then Grindelwald.
After check-in you you can just simply enjoy the majestic view on the Eiger North Face or take the train into the neighbouring valley of Lauterbrunnen. In 1911, the 19-year-old J.R.R. Tolkien hikes through the Swiss Alps – and of course through the Lauterbrunnen Valley with its steep rockfaces and waterfalls. Hardly anyone knows that he found his inspiration for the landscape in «Lord of the Rings» here.
Optional: Trümmelbachfalls in Lauterbrunnen valley (as a bad weather alternative)
Day 4: Grindelwald
This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
On your way there you can spend some time on the Kleine Scheidegg.
Day 5: Grindelwald → Zurich:
On your way to Zurich you may stop by in Lucerne - it's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Stroll around before you we will invite you on a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne. If time allows you may want to take a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne as well (included in your Swiss Travel Pass). By the way: All swiss train stations provide smaller and bigger lockers for your luggage to leave it behine for some hours.
Your hotel In Zurich is located conveniently close to the maintrain station, the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) and Zuich's Old Town. A great way to discover Zurich and to learn a little more about ist history are the Free Walking Tours, if time allows.
The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.
Day 6: Zurich → Munich
The Eurocity (direct train; departure at 5:30 pm) to Munich (arrival at 9 pm) which will give you some time to visit Müllheim (approx. 1 hour one way).
This will also allow you to get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
