Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Geneva → Montreux
Arriving in Geneva a quick stroll through the Old Town and to the Jet-Deau is a must. Follow the northern shoreline of Lake Geneva to get to the Montreux Riviera where you can enjoy the afternoon on the shores of Lake Geneva.
As part of your travel arrangement we will include the entry into the Chateau Chillon: If ever a castle could fit the fairy-tale bill, the dashingly handsome Château de Chillon would be it, with its moat, double ramparts and riot of turrets and towers, plus knockout views of Lake Geneva and the French Alps.
Day 2: Montreux → Zermatt
Continuing your train ride along the Valais (Valley) the language will change from French to German when reaching the town of Zermatt. You will have the chance to discover Zermatt on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn.
Day 3: Zermatt → Grindelwald
Today you will head from the canton of Valais to the Bernese Oberland. Your train journey continues through the 14km long railway Loetschberg tunnel towards Spiez, Interlaken and then Grindelwald.
After check-in, you can just simply enjoy the majestic view on the Eiger North Face or take the train into the neighboring valley of Lauterbrunnen. In 1911, the 19-year-old J.R.R. Tolkien hikes through the Swiss Alps – and of course through the Lauterbrunnen Valley with its steep rockfaces and waterfalls. Hardly anyone knows that he found his inspiration for the landscape in «Lord of the Rings» here.
Optional: Trümmelbachfalls in Lauterbrunnen valley (as a bad weather alternative)
Optional: First Adventure Package: Whiz through the air with the First Flyer or First Glider at over 80 km/h to Schreckfeld. After the flight in the securely constructed harness, pick yourself up again and hop onto the fun sport vehicle, First Mountain Cart. Thunder along the rough track from Schreckfeld to Bort. The Trottibike will be there waiting. Then use this to race from Bort to Grindelwald. With the Adventure Package, you can experience up to four rides and unlimited rides on the gondola lift.
Gornergrat Train: The cogwheel railway takes you up from the village to 3,100 metres above sea level. Even the journey is a great experience with a constant view of the Matterhorn. You can’t get enough of the panorama at the top – mountains and glaciers as far as the eye can see.

Day 4: Grindelwald
This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
Day 5: Grindelwald → Zurich:
Via our capital Bern, you will now make your way deep into the Alps. Stroll around in Bern's cute Old Town which is also a UNESCO world heritage site; and are you aware that the bear is not only the symbol of the canton? Bears live in the city center in a pit right on the other riverside of the old town.
Your hotel In Zurich is located conveniently close to the maintrain station, the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) and Zurich's Old Town. A great way to discover Zurich and to learn a little more about ist history are the Free Walking Tours if time allows.
The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.
OPTIONAL: Day in Lucerne & Mt. Titlis (+CHF per Person)
Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Stroll around before you'll make your way to Mount Titlis. At 3,062 metres, the summit offers not only a breathtaking 360° panorama of the wide Engelberg valley but also a view straight down into the abyss, with countless crevasses carved into the glacial ice.
Day 6: Zurich: Day Excursion to Rhine Falls
Continue your Swiss experience with a natural spectacle: about an hour north lies the biggest waterfalls in Europe, the Rhine Falls. Go on a quick boat trip to explore the true power of this impressive water drop.
From here you'll head to St. Gallen to discover the UNESCO world heritage Abbey district of St. Gallen. Ist magnificent Baroque cathedral forms a unique historical ensemble. The Abbey Library - with Switzerland's most beautiful hall and ancient books will fascinate you.
Day 7: Zurich to St. Moritz
Just around the corner of Lake Zurich lies the chocolate factory of Lindt. We would implement a short tour where at the end you can create your own chocolate bar!
Before arriving in the Engadin valley you have to stop in Landquart: If you would like to do some shopping or equip yourselves for your next days in the mountains, you might want to check out the Landquart fashion outlet.
OR
As the next stop on your journey, you could also explore Chur. With a settlement history of over 5000 years, Chur is the oldest city in Switzerland and the picturesque old town is considered one of the most fully preserved in the country. Especially worth seeing are the episcopal palace, the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, and the superbly preserved buildings in the old town
Take the train on the Glacier Express trains: Get the best part of the Glacier Express tracks on the Albula Line: From Thusis, the RhB climbs through helical tunnels and over viaducts up the Albula Valley towards St.Moritz. This line, embedded harmoniously in the landscape, is a showpiece dating back to the time of railway pioneering and is part of the RhB UNESCO World Heritage.
Day 8: St. Moritz to Lugano:
The Bernina line between St.Moritz, Valposchiavo and Tirano connects the north and south of Europe. It travels past mountains, beside lakes and glaciers on its way down to the palm trees in Valtellina. The famous panoramic route belongs to the RhB UNESCO World Heritage - a brand name.
We'd organize the transfer from Tirano to Lugano as your travel will continue to Milano (to get to Rome, Venzia or Florence) as from Lugano trains depart regulary towards Milano.
