Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Zurich to Zermatt:

Even though it might be a long first day after arrival it is worth it to just continue and get deep into the alps, so you can make your way back to Zurich. Even though it is quite a train ride, Zurich an Zermatt are well connected.

In the afternoon you'll have some time to discover the car-free town of Zermatt on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn. Also, get prepared for your day on the slopes. Ski gear can be rent in multiple places in Zermatt.

Day 2: Zermatt:

Welcome to Europe's highest ski resort - so get ready or a day on the slopes. Skiing enthusiasts from all over the world congregate in Zermatt. Guests come to experience perfect skiing with miles of pistes, fantastic slopes, sun and snow.

Day 3: Zermatt → Montreux

Continuing your train ride along the Valais (Valley) the language will change from German to French. Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the rest of the day on the shores of Lake Geneva and visit the medieval Chillon Castle.

To get some Christmas feeling - the popular Montreux Christmas Market ist just on the other side of the road on the shores of Lake Geneva. Let us know if we should make a reservation in their fondue chalet.

Self-Guided (Train)

Day 4: Montreux → Grindelwald

Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque or panorama wagons of the Golden Pass.

On the other side your driver guide will pick you up for a Swiss chocolate experience in the Maison Cailler, before its time for a stop over in Bern to visit the Einstein museum or house.

Day 5: Grindelwald:

This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.

The afternoon is at leisure: Maybe you'd like to do a little sledding or snowshoe hiking?

Day 6: Grindelwald → Lucerne

Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art. Stroll around before you we will invite you on a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne.

Day 7: Lucerne → Zurich Airport:

The airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.

We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
