Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Zurich
We will organize a private transfer from Zurich Airport to your hotel, located in the heart of the city, close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) and Zurich's Old Town - perfect for your day of arrival to go spontaneously for a short walk and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.
By the way: When arriving on the 24th it would be perfect timing as Zurichs' famous Christmas market is about to open on that day.
Day 2: Zurich to Grindelwald
Via our capital Bern, you will now make your way deep into the Alps. Stroll around in Bern's cute Old Town which is also a UNESCO world heritage site; and are you aware that the bear is not only the symbol of the canton? Bears live in the city center in a pit right on the other riverside of the old town (although they most likely will be in hibernation by the time of your arrival) - but Berns' cute shops and historic shops invite you to stay for a while. No worries about your luggage - it can be stored easily in a locker (a whole center in Bern) right inside the train station for an easy walk through the city.
Grindelwald is located on the foot of the notorious Eiger North Face. The last alpine challenge is feared and admired for centuries. Right next to it rise the snowy peaks of the Mönch and Jungfrau.
Day 3: Grindelwald
This day is reserved to explore the Jungfrau region which has a lot to offer. Head up the famous Jungfraujoch, or one of the many other mountains offering fantastic panoramas, visit the valley of the 72 waterfalls and enjoy one of the many hiking trails in the area. You might want to take a snowshoe walk on the Männlichen (if open), the small servant of the royal three mountains: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The notorious Eiger North Face was long time considered to be the last alpine challenge. A walk on the Mänlichen will let you dive into the tragic and heroic stories of this wall.
FYI: The cross-country slopes are not open yet as it's been a pretty warm autumn so far.

Day 4: Grindelwald → Lucerne
The ride through the Bernese Oberland is a highlight itself. Following several lakes, especially the blueish Lake Brienz has to be mentioned here, you'll first arrive in Lucerne. Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.
Take the shuttle boat from Lucerne to the Bürgenstock resort. Sitting high above Lake Lucerne it provides unparalleled service, luxury, and spa experience.
Day 5: Lucerne
Enjoy some time in the Bürgenstock spa. If you decide to be more active on this day: Hop on a boat and enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Lucerne. If you are interested in the history of Switzerland you might want to hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the Rütli meadow. Nourished by Schiller's drama «William Tell», it is considered the historic place where in 1291 the oath of the Swiss Confederation was sworn and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.
We also recommend getting off the boat in Vitznau to take the oldest cogwheel train in Europe up Mount Rigi (included in your Swiss Travel Pass). But this is up to you.
Day 6: Lucerne → Zurich Airport
Zurich airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake. If you are departing very early from Zurich airport we may need to go with another hotel because of the transfer boat.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
