Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Zermatt → Montreux

You will leave Switzerland's biggest city behind and make your way west to the French-speaking part of Switzerland.

Jump off in Bern: The bear is not only the symbol of Switzerland's capital, bears actually live in the heart of the city. Stroll around in Bern's old town which is part of the UNESCO world heritage and visit the bear pit (on a warm day they might be still out before hibernation).

With the vineyards of Lavaux just around the corner (UNESCO world heritage) you certainly would like to sit down in Montreux and taste one of the local wines and enjoy the Swiss Riviera.

Day 2: Montreux:

Explore the vine terraces of Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage) and go on a guided walk which ends up with a degustation of our local wines. There is a reason why Switzerland does not export that much of its own wine - we like to enjoy it ourselves!

As part of your travel arrangement we will include the entry into the Chateau Chillon: If ever a castle could fit the fairy-tale bill, the dashingly handsome Château de Chillon would be it, with its moat, double ramparts and riot of turrets and towers, plus knockout views of Lake Geneva and the French Alps.

Guided & Self-Guided

Day 3: Day Excursion into the Jura mountains:

Your guide for the day will meet you at your hotel and take you up to the remote area of the Jura mountains. The Vallée de Joux is the cradle of high-quality watchmaking, where the most prestigious watch brands still can be found. The Espace Horloger Vallée de Joux museum offers visitors of all ages an opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of watchmaking and tells the history of this industry, as well as its future, through modern, playful, and interactive exhibitions.

Afterwards, the beautiful caves of Vallorbe are waiting for you to be discovered, before your guide takes you to the city of Geneva, where you will have time to stroll through its old-town, before heading back along Lake Geneva to Montreux.

Day 4: Montreux to Grindelwald:

Another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.

Combine food and hiking - get yourself a prepacked fondue rucksack and hike to one of the giant fondue pots (seating areas) to enjoy your delicious fondue. The area of Gstaad and Zweisimmen ist known for ist cheese delicacies. Then its time to get to the Jungfrau Region.

Your luggage will be picked up in the morning (drop off at the reception untill 9 am) and delivered to your hotel in Grindelwald (between 6 and 11 pm) for a hands-free travel on that day.

Day 5: Grindelwald

This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.

Day 6: Grindelwald:

Paragliding: After a short introduction, you and your pilot run a few steps together down a gentle slope and suddenly you glide silently into the air. The flight takes you high above the Grindelwald valley whilst the majestic mountain scenery of Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn and Eiger Northface always lies in front of you. An unforgettable experience for all those who are enthusiastic about the idea of flying!

Other optional activities:

Aletsch Glacier Hike: + CHF 395 per Person

Canyoning: + from CHF 125 to 180 per Person

Via Ferrata: + CHF 150 per Person

River Rafting: + chf 125 per Person

Day 7: Grindelwald → Lucerne

A Swiss chocolate experience can not be missed - so we include a visit to the Chocolate world at the Aeschbach chocolatiers.

We will invite you on a sunset boat cruise on Lake Lucerne.  Experience the natural spectacle of a radiant sunset over the towering peaks of Central Switzerland. Let the tranquility of the lake and the majesty of the mountains do their bit, while the stately steamboat or the vessel "MS Diamant" gently glides over the waves. The catering crew will be delighted to serve you a selection of popular drinks or invite you for a refined dinner.

Day 8: Lucerne:

Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.

Today is reserved to visit the house mountain Pilatus. Commissioned in 1889, a gradient of up to 48 percent, about 30 minutes travel time: that is the steepest cogwheel railway in the world in figures. Meter by meter it scales the way from Alpnachstad to Pilatus Kulm, passing alpine meadows and striking rock formations.

Day 9: Lucerne → Zurich Airport

Do some souvenir shopping or just have a coffee on the shores of Lake Lucerne before it's time to leave for the airport in Zurich which ich well connected to Zurich.

We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
