Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Geneva → Montreux

Geneva's main train station is the closest to an Airport in the world (only 7 minutes via train) - perfect for your day of arrival. Leave your luggage behind (all Swiss train stations offer lockers) and discover Geneva.

Home of the UN, ICRC, and numerous other NGOs. Stroll through Geneva's Old Town, climb up the tower of the St. Pierre Cathedral and talk a walk along the shores in the English Garden to Geneva's landmark - the Jet d'eau. If you are anyhow into science: The CERN - Find out more about the Big Bang! (tours are free of charge, but available only on-site).

Day 2: Montreux:

For your taste buds: Trails through the UNESCO-listed World Heritage Lavaux vineyard terraces for all ages and with a whole range of levels of difficulty. Enjoy outstanding views of Lake Geneva and the Alps, with plenty of places to stop and take in the panorama – whilst enjoying a small glass of Chasselas wine, made with the region’s leading variety of grapes - even though ist winter, the terraces themselves are worth to check them out.

Self-Guided (Train)

Day 3: Montreux:

A visit to the medieval Chillon Castle is always worth it: If ever a castle could fit the fairy-tale bill, the dashingly handsome Château de Chillon would be it, with its moat, double ramparts, and riot of turrets and towers, plus knockout views of Lake Geneva and the French Alps.

Day 4: Montreux → Gstaad

Today a magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.

Day 5: Gstaad:

We'll start this day swiss-like with a visit to the chocolate factory of Cailler.

A stop in the medieval town of Gruyère with its castle and the cute marketplace is a must and we'll organize a shuttle/taxi as a more convenient way to get forth and back in between.

Day 6: Gstaad:

Combine food and hiking/walking  - get yourself a prepacked fondue rucksack and hike on the prepared winter paths to one of the giant fondue pots (seating areas) to enjoy your delicious fondue. The area of Gstaad and Zweisimmen is known for its cheese delicacies (we have to check with the Cheesery to provide a fondue without alcohol for you).

Day 7: Gstaad → Mürren:

Continuing with the Golden Pass train you'll arrive in the Jungfrau Region:

The Hotel Eiger in Muerren offers a wonderful view over the mountains, new rooms and wellness. The ski slopes pass right by the hotel in winter, and in summer, the hiking trails start right from the hotel. The Schilthorn Piz Gloria is reached in 20 minutes by cable car from Muerren.

Day 8-10: Mürren

The choice is yours to be made

Optional: Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.

Optional: Mürren Ski: The highest ski area in the Bernese Oberland

After a cosy James Bond Brunch in the 360° restaurant Piz Gloria on the 2970-metre-high Schilthorn, the Mürren-Schilthorn ski area offers pistes for every level. Beginners make their first turns at the ski school grounds, directly in the car-free mountain village of Mürren. Kids will have a great snow adventure on the Kidsslope on the Allmendhubel, where waves and lots of animal friends make for fun rides.

Day 11: Mürren to Lucerne

The ride through the Bernese Oberland is a highlight itself. Following several lakes, especially the blueish Lake Brienz has to be mentioned here, you'll first arrive in Lucerne. Its Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world.

Day 12: Lucerne:

Stroll around before you we will invite you on a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne.  Those who are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.

If you'd like: Head up to the Rigi Kaltbad Spa and enjoy a relaxing day in their hot pools with a view over the alps and the Lake.

Day 13: Lucerne → Zurich Airport:

The airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.

We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
