Day 1: Zurich to Basel

Your guide will pick you up at Zurich Airport - With an early arrival, we'd like to invite you on a walking tour through Switzerland's biggest city Zurich. A Zurich guide will take you into the heart of Zurich's Old Town.  The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.

We will then turn north west to Basel, which is widely regarded as Switzerland's art capital. At less than 1 hour from Zurich, Basel is rich in sights and art museums.

Day 2: Basel - Day Excursion to Strasbourg

As you stroll down the streets of Strasbourg, you’ll journey through time to discover the events and people who have shaped the city and built its reputation - a private guide will show you the gems of Strasbourg!

A two-thousand-year-old city, Strasbourg boasts an exceptionally rich heritage, enshrined by a triple inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Two remarkably high-quality monumental ensembles, the Grande Île quarter, inscribed in 1988, and Neustadt, the imperial district, added in 2017, represent the unique and exceptional history of Strasbourg, a city at the crossroads between the Latin and Germanic worlds. This incomparable heritage was honoured again in late 2020, when the Œuvre Notre-Dame Foundation was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

Day 3: Basel to Wengen

Let's start this day off with the fondation Beyeler which provides a world-class collection of artworks and is considered one of the world's most beautiful museums.

We'll then turn south and you'll get into the heart of the Alps in the Jungfrau region. If you'd like well stop by in our capital Bern which is not to be underestimated. It is not just the seat of our parliament, it is also a UNESCO heritage - did you know, that the bear is not only the symbol of Bern? Bears live in the city!

Day 4: Wengen:

This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.

Day 5: Wengen:

With hundreds of shorter walks and hikes around it's easy to find the right one for you. Your guide will take you on a short walk for an outdoor fondue experience!

Day 6: Wengen to Lake Lucerne

Time to discover a little the underground: The St. Beatus Caves are certainly one of the most beautiful show caves! Later we will pass the blue-colored Lake Brienz before arriving in Lucerne. Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world.

We will also visit the beautiful Aare gorge: In Haslital Meiringen the Aare River has cut a gorge in the limestone that is 200 meters deep in some places. Thanks to the walkways and tunnels, it is easy to hike through the entire gorge.

Day 7: Lake Lucerne:

The Vitznauerhof is a true gem within already Switzerland's high-standard hotels! Located directly on the shores of the Lake with phenomenal views, a little away from the touristic crowds, but nevertheless, perfectly connected via boat to discover Lucerne itself.

Jeroen Achtien has been Executive Chef of the Hotel Vitznauerhof and the Restaurant Sens. In February 2021, he and his team were awarded with two stars Michelin. Let us know if we should reserve a table.

Day 8: Lucerne to Zurich Airport:

The airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.

We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
