Day 1: Zurich to Gstaad
Your guide will pick you up at the arrival hall at Zurich Airport and will accompany you in a private Van for the first 3 days of your trip. Continuing your ride along the Middleland the language will change from German to French.
If time allows and if you're interested we'll stop by in Bern, our capital. Although it is a UNESCO heritage it is one of the hidden gems which many travelers leave aside.
Day 2: Gstaad - Excursion to Montreux
Today a magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the afternoon on the shores of Lake Geneva. A visit to the medieval Chillon Castle is always worth it!
Day 3: Gstaad to Zermatt:
From Gstaad your guide will take you on a scenic ride along the Valais and will give you further instructions for the upcoming days.
In the end the train will bring you to Zermatt, where you'll be picked up by the Hotels own electric shuttle.
Day 4: Zermatt
Welcome to Europe's highest ski resort - so get ready or a day on the slopes. Skiing enthusiasts from all over the world congregate in Zermatt. Guests come to experience perfect skiing with miles of pistes, fantastic slopes, sun and snow.
A private instructor will give you a refresh and improve your skiing skills. Your rental can be picked up just outside of Zermatt train station and is preorganized by us.
Day 5: Zermatt
Take the Gorner Grat train up for most likely one of the best views of the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains. If you like the close by Igloo-village is reachable on foot and invites you to local delicacies in their outdoor restaurant.
Day 6: Zermatt to Lucerne:
For hands-free traveling we'll organize a luggage express service: Drop off your suitcases at the reception of your hotel, and get them delivered on the same day (between 6 and 11 pm) on the same day!
The train is the best choice to cross the alps! Zermatt itself is 100% car-free and during winter many alpine passes might be closed while the train can smoothly run through the tunnels.
Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art. To stretch out your legs you can follow our map and have a walk through the Old Town.
Day 7: Lucerne:
Enjoy this beautiful setting. A boat cruise gives a different angle of the town and the surrounding mountains. Switzerland was found around the shores of Lake Lucerne - so those who are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.
Day 8: Lucerne to Zurich Airport:
We'll organize a private shuttle that brings you safely to the Airport.
