Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Zurich
Zurich Airport is very well connected to the city center. With only about 15 min to the city center, you can already benefit from your Swiss Travel Pass. Your hotel will be located in the heart of the old town - perfect for your day of arrival to still walk around, stretch out your legs after your flight and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.
Depending on your time of arrival and motivation you or part of your family might be interested to take an excursion to the biggest waterfalls in Europe - the Rhine Falls.
Day 2: Zurich → Engadin valley
On your way to the Alps, you will pass the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise. A short boat cruise will bring you to the Seerenbachfalls, the highest waterfalls in Switzerland. It is only a short walk to get closer to this natural spectacle. A small farm restaurant invites to linger around.
If you would like to do some shopping or equip yourselves for your next days in the mountains, you might want to stop by at the Landquart fashion outlet.
Day 3: Explore the Engadin
The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.
Go on a train ride on the Bernina tracks to Alp Grüm or even to Tirano in Italy. Offering breathtaking views on the surrounding peaks and glaciers this UNESCO world heritage doesn't leave any wishes open.
For the active family members: We have plenty of hiking suggestions for every fitness level. Our tip: Rent yourself an (E-) mountain bike to explore the Bernina valley a little closer.
For cheese lovers: Have a break at the alpine cheesery Morteratsch and follow every step of making this swiss delicacy with your own eyes

Day 4: Engadin → Zermatt
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps.
On your trip from St Moritz, the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
Day 5: Zermatt
You will have the chance to discover Zermatt on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn. Very popular is the 5 lakes hike in the morning to get a perfect reflection of the surrounding mountains.
Optional: Take up the cable car to the Glacier Paradise, Europe's highest cable car station (3883 meters). One of the highlights is certainly the platform with a view over 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps.
Day 6: Zermatt → Montreux:
Continuing your train ride along the Valais (Valley) the language will change from German to French. Stretch out your legs to discover the castles in Sion or the Underground Lake of St. Leonard. Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the afternoon on the shores of Lake Geneva.
For cultural interested family members: A visit to the famous Chillon Castle
For wine lovers: Explore the vine terraces of Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage) and go on a degustation tour. Many beautiful located restaurants invite you to stick around.
Something for everyone: A boat cruise on Lake Geneva
Day 7: Montreux → Bern
Today everything will be about treating your taste buds: From Montreux, you will take the Golden Pass to get to the Maison Caillier. A tour through the history of Swiss chocolate incl. a degustation will make you understand what Swiss chocolate is all about.
But save some appetite: Gruyère, home to the famous Gruyère AOP cheese is only a stone's throw away. Stroll through this medieval town and enjoy a delicious fondue before leaving for Bern.
Day 8: Bern → Grindelwald
The bear is not just the symbol of Switzerland's capital - bears actually live in the heart of the city. Just stroll through the old town to get there. Don't miss the shops and exhibitions in the underground for what Bern is famous for. On a clear day, you might be already able to spot your destination for the night.
Grindelwald is located on the foot of the notorious Eiger North Face. The last alpine challenge is feared and admired for centuries. Right next to it rise the snowy peaks of the Mönch and Jungfrau.
Day 9: Grindewald | Jungfraujoch
Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
Day 10: Grindelwald → Lucerne
There is no better way to cross the blueish Lake Brienz than by boat. Go on a short walk to explore the beautiful Giessbach Falls.
Another highlight awaits you on the other side of Lake Brienz: The Brienz Rothorn Railway. These steam locomotives will bring you on top of the Brienzer Rothorn from where you will get one of the best views of the Bernese Oberland and the Lakes of Brienz and Thun. History is coming alive here!
Day 11: Lucerne:
Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Stroll around before you we will invite you on a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne. Those who are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.
As a final highlight, we will include the oldest cogwheel train of Switzerland up to the top of Mount Rigi, the queen of all mountains. Enjoy once more the scenery of the Alps and Lake Lucerne.
Day 12: Lucerne → Zurich Airport
The airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
