Rhine Falls

More than 15,000 years ago, earth movements during the Ice Age pushed the Rhine into a new river bed. Hundreds of cubic meters of water fall over a width of 150 meters at a speed of 23 meters per second.

In the middle there is a huge boulder that has withstood nature for thousands of years and which can be reached and admired by boat.

But you can also experience the Rhine Falls up close on foot. An approx. 1 hour circular route (approx. 3.5 km) invites you to linger. The castles of Wörth and Laufen can be reached by ship.
