Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Arrival in Zurich

We will organize a private transfer from Zurich Airport to your hotel, located in the heart of the city, close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) and Zurich's Old Town - perfect for your day of arrival to go spontaneously for a short walk and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.

To get rid of the Jetlag you may want to climb up the twin towers of the Grossmünster, which are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, but you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the city. A fun start for your kids may be a visit to the WOW-Museum to discover different perspectives.

Day 2: Zurich → Lucerne

Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with ist 17th-century art.

But before you will enjoy your first mountain experience on the Pilatus. Discover the Dragon Trail with your kids and enjoy a journey of discovery. There are many legends and myths associated with the Pilatus. In the Middle Ages, people believed that dragons with healing powers lived in the rugged clefts and crevices of the Pilatus.

Day 3: Lucerne

Enjoy the day in this beautiful setting. Experience Lake Lucerne by kayak and paddle to deserted bays that cannot be reached on foot. A guide could be arranged.

Those who are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to take the boat and hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.

Guided Tour

Day 4: Lucerne → St. Moritz

Via some beautiful swiss villages, we will stop at the caves of Baar before we will arrive in the canton of Glarus and get a Swissness overdose with chocolate in the House of Laderrach! Create your own bar of chocolate which you can take home.

On your way to the Alps, we will pass the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arises: For early birds: If time allows we'd be happy to invite you on a boat cruise crossing Lake Walen to get closer to the highest waterfalls of Switzerland.

If you would like to do some shopping or equip yourselves for your next days in the mountains, we could stop by at the Landquart fashion outlet.

Day 5: Engadin Valley

The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.

Go on a train ride on the Bernina tracks to Alp Grüm or even to Tirano in Italy. Offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers this UNESCO world heritage doesn't leave any wishes open.

For the active family members: We have plenty of hiking suggestions for every fitness level. Our tip: Rent yourself an (E-) mountain bike to explore the Bernina valley a little closer and bike back from Alp Grüm.

For cheese lovers: Have a break at the alpine cheesery Morteratsch and follow every step of making this swiss delicacy with your own eyes.

Day 6: St. Moritz → Zermatt

Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps. Sit back and relax while the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.

A 3-course menu rounds everything up. For stress-less travel, your guide will take care of your luggage and will meet you again in Zermatt. An upgrade on 1st Class or Excellence Class could be discussed.

Day 7: Zermatt

The car-free town of Zermatt is located at the foot of Switzerland's landmark - the impressive Matterhorn. The peak lift takes you up to the 360º viewing platform on Europe’s highest mountain station 'Klein Matterhorn', from where you can see 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers. A must-see is also Zermatt’s glacier paradise, which not only your kids will enjoy!

A helicopter ride could be implemented in the travel arrangement.

Day 8: Zermatt → Grindelwald

Today I take you from the canton of Valais to the Bernese Oberland. We will stop in the Kander valley and enjoy a magnificent short walk to the blueish Lakes of Oeschinen and the crystal-clear Blue Lake before we will head to the valley of the 72 waterfalls, the Lauterbrunnen valley.

Day 9: Jungfraujoch Area

Today will be a little more relaxed. You have the whole day to explore the Jungfrau region. Your guide will take you to Grindelwald and up the Mountain First from where you will go on a half-day hike to explore the beautiful Lake Bachalp. Returning via Grindelwalp we should stay a little for a coffee to admire the notorious Eiger North Face - long considered to be the last alpine challenge.

Potential: Activities: Zip Lining, Rafting, Paragliding, Climbing, etc.

Day 10:  Grindelwald → Montreux

Today’s day trip will take you from German to French-speaking Switzerland.  You will take the Golden pass train to arrive at the Montreux Riviera. Your guide will await you for a visit to the medieval Chillon Castle.

For the late afternoon, we will organize a degustation tour through the vine terraces of Lavaux (a UNESCO world heritage site).

Day 11: Montreux → Geneva

Enjoy the day on the shores of Lake Geneva or your guide could take you up to the remote area of the Jura mountains. In there the most beautiful caves of Vallorbe are waiting for you and your children to be discovered. To round up your Switzerland trip we would like to invite you to one of the traditional mountain restaurants with one of the best fondues in whole Switzerland.

Take the evening to stroll around in Geneva, through its old-town, the flower watch or the famous Jet-d'eau.

Day 12: Departure from Geneva

Geneva is recognized as one of the country's finest stops on a Swiss expedition since it is culturally alive, paved by gold, and cloaked in historical heritage. You will leave your belongings in your hotel room and head to CERN, the world's largest particle physics facility. A guide will greet you and show you through the outstanding research facility and its technologies. You'll learn about the origins of the universe and the Big Bang before departing from Geneva Airport.
