Albula and Bernina Line

(c) Rhaetian Railway

From Thusis, the RhB climbs through helical tunnels and over viaducts up the Albula Valley towards St.Moritz. This line, embedded harmoniously in the landscape, is a showpiece dating back to the time of railway pioneering and is part of the RhB UNESCO World Heritage.

The Bernina line between St.Moritz, Valposchiavo and Tirano connects the north and south of Europe. It travels past mountains, beside lakes and glaciers on its way down to the palm trees in Valtellina. The famous panoramic route belongs to the RhB UNESCO World Heritage - a brand name.
