We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Zurich Airport to Montreux:
Continuing your train ride along the middle land of Switzerland the language will change from German to French. Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the rest of the day on the shores of Lake Geneva and visit the medieval Chillon Castle.
To get some Christmas feeling - the popular Montreux Christmas Market ist just on the other side of the road on the shores of Lake Geneva. Let us know if we should make a reservation in their fondue chalet.
Day 2: Montreux: Day Excrusion to Geneva:
Follow the northern shoreline to Geneva, home of the UN, ICRC, and numerous other NGOs. Because it will be Christmas Eve many shops will close earlier - nevertheless, Geneva has its charm with its beautiful Old town, the St. Pierre Cathedral and the Jardin Anglais with its Christmas market in front of the Jet d'Eau.
Day 3: Montreux to Zermatt:
Back into the german speaking part when reaching the town of Zermatt. You will have the chance to discover Zermatt on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn.
Gornergrat Train: The cogwheel railway takes you up from the village to 3,100 metres above sea level. Even the journey is a great experience with a constant view of the Matterhorn. You can’t get enough of the panorama at the top – mountains and glaciers as far as the eye can see.
On top: Christmas in the snowy mountains!

Day 4: Zermatt:
Take up the cable car to the Glacier Paradise, Europe's highest cable car station (3883 meters). One of the highlights is certainly the platform with a view over 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps.
Also, even for nonskiers, enjoy the day on the slopes. Rent yourself a sled and sled down into the valley - a fun activity for every age!
Day 5: Zermatt to St. Moritz (Sils-Maria):
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps.
On your trip from Zermatt, the train winds ist way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
Day 6: St. Moritz
The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.
Enjoy some time in the snow - snowshoe hiking, sledding or a romantic carriage ride - the choice is yours to be made.
Day 7: St. Moritz to Milano (29.12.2022):
The Bernina line between St.Moritz, Valposchiavo and Tirano connects the north and south of Europe. It travels past mountains, beside lakes and glaciers on its way down to the palm trees in Valtellina. The famous panoramic route belongs to the RhB UNESCO World Heritage.
From Tirano trains depart regularly to Milano for your stay in Italy.
Day 8-10: Italy
Day Excursion to Venice
Day Excursion to Cinque Terre
Day in Milano (New Years Eve)
Day 11: Milan → Lucerne
Well connected and sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.

Day 13: Lucerne to Zurich:
Well connected with each other, you'll arrive around lunch time back in Zurich: Your hotel is located conveniently close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) in the heart of Zurich's Old Town. A great way to discover Zurich and to learn a little more about ist history are the Free Walking Tours.
The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.
Day 14: Zurich Airport:
