Day 1: Arrival in Zurich (self-guided)
Your hotel is located conveniently close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse in the heart of Zurich's Old Town. A great way to discover Zurich and to learn a little more about its history are the Free Walking Tours. Please let me know if we should organize a transfer.
Zurich's house mountain the Uetliberg is always worth a visit, as well as the numerous museums in and around the city. I'll provide you with my personal recommendations if you would like to.
With an early arrival & motivation:
You could leave Switzerland's largest city behind for the day and you will head up north to Europe's biggest waterfall - the Rhine Falls. By boat, you get on the Rock in the middle of the falls to understand the power of this natural spectacle. On the other side of the falls lies Castle Laufen.
Day 2: Jungfraujoch (with private driver guide)
This would be a long day into the heart of the Alps. Your driver guide would pick you up early in the morning (7 am) at your hotel. Bern is a great stop to stretch out your legs and although part of the UNESCO world heritage, it is still underrated by travelers.
Arriving at Jungfraujoch you will feel icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
Returning via Lucerne (only for a quick stop) you'll be back at between 6 and 7 pm in the evening.
Day 3: Lake Walen (self-guided)
Just around the corner of the Glarner Alps lies the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise. A short boat cruise (optional) will bring you to the Seerenbachfalls, the highest waterfalls in Switzerland. It is only a short walk to get closer to this natural spectacle. A small farm restaurant invites to linger around and to taste the local cheese.
For the afternoon a visit to the Lindt Home of chocolate would be included in your travel arrangement which is conveniently close on the shores of Lake Zurich.
Day4: Departure
Zurich airport is very well connected to the city center which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake before leaving our beautiful alpine confederation.
