Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival Zurich:
Zurich Airport is very well connected to the city center. With only about 15 min by train to the city center, you can already benefit from your Swiss Travel Pass. Taking a taxi is not worth it here. Your hotel will be located in the city center - perfect for your day of arrival to walk around, stretch out your legs after your flight and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.
The famous Bahnhofstrasse, the old town and numerous museums are within walking distance. We specifically recommend visiting the Swiss National Museum Zurich, showcasing the history of Switzerland from ist beginnings up to the present day, giving an insight into the Swiss identity and the rich tapestry of the country’s history and culture.
Day 2: Zurich → Engadin Valley
Before arriving in the Engadin valley you have to stop in Landquart: If you would like to do some shopping or equip yourselves for your next days in the mountains, you might want to check out the Landquart fashion outlet.
OR
As the next stop on your journey, you could also explore Chur. With a settlement history of over 5000 years, Chur is the oldest city in Switzerland and the picturesque old town is considered one of the most fully preserved in the country. Especially worth seeing are the episcopal palace, the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, and the superbly preserved buildings in the old town.
Day 3: Engadin Valley
The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.
Go on a train ride on the Bernina tracks to Alp Grüm or even to Tirano in Italy. Offering breathtaking views on the surrounding peaks and glaciers this UNESCO world heritage doesn't leave any wishes open. For cheese lovers: Have a break at the alpine cheesery Morteratsch and follow every step of making this swiss delicacy with your own eyes
In the afternoon we will invite you on to a carriage ride into the beautiful Val Fex. Enjoy the fantastic restaurant out there for an Apero (the Swiss cocktail hour) before the carriage will pick you up again.

Day 4: Engadin → Zermatt
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride (8 hours). Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps.
On your trip from St Moritz, the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
Excellence Class (if available): Along the way you will be served a refined regional 7-course menu with accompanying wines. For an aperitif, some delicious cocktail or to exchange with fellow travelers the Glacier Bar is the perfect place to visit. Thanks to the compass on the ceiling none of the many turns will be missed.
Day 5: Zermatt → Montreux
You will have the chance to discover Zermatt on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn. Take up the cable car to the Glacier Paradise, Europe's highest cable car station (3883 meters). One of the highlights is certainly the platform with a view over 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps.
Continuing your train ride along the Valais (Valley) the language will change from German to French. Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the afternoon on the shores of Lake Geneva and visit the famous Chateau Chillon.
Day 6: Montreux → Grindelwald
Explore the vine terraces of Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage) and go on a guided walk which ends up with a degustation of our local wines. There is a reason why Switzerland does not export that much of its own wine - we like to enjoy it ourselves!
After your wine tour another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
Day 7: Grindelwald
This day is reserved to explore the Jungfrau region which has a lot to offer. Head up the famous Jungfraujoch, or one of the many other mountains offering fantastic panoramas, visit the valley of the 72 waterfalls and enjoy one of the many hiking trails in the area.
You might want to take a walk on the Männlichen, the small servant of the royal three mountains: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The notorious Eiger North Face was long time considered to be the last alpine challenge. A walk on the Mänlichen will let you dive into the tragic and heroic stories of this wall.
Optional: Paragliding (CHF 170 p.P.)
Day 8: Grindelwald → Lucerne
Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Stroll around before you we will invite you on a sunset boat cruise on Lake Lucerne. Experience the natural spectacle of a radiant sunset over the towering peaks of Central Switzerland. Let the tranquility of the lake and the majesty of the mountains do their bit, while the stately steamboat or the vessel "MS Diamant" gently glides over the waves. The catering crew will be delighted to serve you a selection of popular drinks or invite you for a refined dinner.
Day 9: Lucerne - Titlis:
Experience a mind-blowing day in the Snow at Mount Titlis at 3'020 meters above sealevel. Up at the peak there is only one season: Winter. Of all the highlights in Central Switzerland, TITLIS is the big one - and the only glacier in the entire region that is actually accessible. So come and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of snow-capped mountaintops and untouched Alpine landscapes.
Day 10: Lucerne → Zurich Airport
The airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
