Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Arrival in Zurich

We will organize a private transfer from Zurich Airport to your hotel, located in the heart of the city - perfect for your day of arrival to go for a short walk and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.

Your hotel is located conveniently close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) in the heart of Zurich's Old Town. The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.

Later on, a local guide will pick you up and gives you some insight into their own private Zurich and show their very personal highlights around the lake basin. They share their individual view of Zurich, look at familiar things anew, and thereby also shape the perspective of their listeners. Fascinating stories allow guests to marvel at life in the past. Of course, your guide also imparts plenty of facts about Zurich´s famous landmarks, but the tour really lives on their insider knowledge.

Day 2: Zurich → Engadin Valley

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to the Rhine Valley. But let's start this tour Swiss-like: with chocolate in the House of Laderrach! On your way to the Alps, we will pass the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise: For early birds: If time allows we'd be happy to invite you on a boat cruise crossing Lake Walen to get to the highest waterfall of Switzerland.

If you would like to do some shopping or equip yourselves for your next days in the mountains, we could stop by at the Landquart fashion outlet.

Day 3: Engadin Valley

The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today.

Go on a train ride on the Bernina tracks to Alp Grüm or even to Tirano in Italy. Offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers this UNESCO world heritage doesn't leave any wishes open.

For the active people: We have plenty of hiking suggestions for every fitness level. Our tip (optional): Rent an (E-) mountain bike to explore the Bernina valley a little closer and bike back from Alp Grüm.

For cheese lovers: Have a break at the alpine cheesery Morteratsch and follow every step of making this swiss delicacy with your own eyes

Guided Tour

Day 4: Engadin → Zermatt

Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps. Sit back and relax while the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.  A 4-course menu rounds everything up.

For stress-less travel, we will take care of your luggage and will meet you again in Zermatt.

Day 5: Zermatt

Get ready to climb (hike) your first 4 000m peak - the Breithorn. This private tour is a perfect way to get a sense of high Alpine air for the first time, but only for surefooted and experienced hikers accompanied by a mountain guide.  In the early morning, you take the cable car to the Matterhorn glacier paradise at 3,883 m. The climb to the top and the descent afterwards lasts about three hours depending on the conditions.

You will get back to the Glacier Paradise with its 360º viewing platform on Europe’s highest mountain station 'Klein Matterhorn', from where you can see 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers. Stay around for a while and don't forget to check out the ice art inside of the glacier.

Day 6: Zermatt → Montreux

Continuing your ride along the Valais (Valley) the language will change from German to French. Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the rest of the day on the shores of Lake Geneva. A visit to the medieval Chillon Castle is always worth it.

For the late afternoon, we will organize a degustation tour through the vine terraces of  Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage).

Day 7: Montreux → Grindelwald

Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.

Today your guide combines food and hiking/walking - we get ourselves a prepacked fondue rucksack and hike/walk to one of the giant fondue pots (seating areas) to enjoy your delicious fondue. The area of Gstaad and Zweisimmen is known for its cheese delicacies.

Day 8: Grindelwald

Grindelwald is located on the foot of the notorious Eiger North Face. The last alpine challenge is feared and admired for centuries. Right next to it rise the snowy peaks of the Mönch and Jungfrau.

Rafting (optional on site): The mighty Lütschine offers some of the best whitewater rafting in the Swiss Alps. Straight from the start below the Eiger north face, continuous class III-IV rapids surge down from the mountains and out into the Interlaken valley and the Lake of Brienz. It is an exhilarating rush from start to finish.

+CHF 140 per Person

Paragliding (optional on site): Experience the Jungfrau Region from an eagle's perspective during a tandem paragliding flight. Together with your tandem pilot, you walk a few steps down the slope and already you are floating in the air, enjoying the spectacular view of the Eiger North Face and the mountain world of the Jungfrau Region.

+ CHF 190 per Person

Many travelers go up the Jungfraujoch - I'd go with you on a hike a little off the beaten track to enjoy the Bernese Oberland.

Day 9: Grindelwald → Lucerne

There is no better way to cross the blueish Lake Brienz than by boat. Go on a short walk to explore the beautiful Giessbach Falls.

Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Stroll around before we will invite you on a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne. Those who are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.

As a final highlight, we will include the oldest cogwheel train in Switzerland up to the top of Mount Rigi, the queen of all mountains. Enjoy once more the scenery of the Alps and Lake Lucerne.

Day 10: Lucerne → Zurich Airport

The airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake. If time allows, your guide will add another stop or two to your travel diary.

We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say:  "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
