Day 1 to 3:
Arriving in Zurich we leave it up to you to stroll around in the city before heading to an area which we would call "real" Switzerland - the beautiful Toggenburg. For your accommodation, you have to take the chairlift where you stay in the middle of an "Alp". Most likely lots of cattle will be waiting for you, as well as possibilities for short or longer walks on or off the Klangweg (sound trail) with 27 instruments to play with.
Here in the small but beautiful valley between Säntis (highest mountains of eastern Switzerland) and the seven Churfirsten nature remains untouched and is known as an idyllic world for hiking enthusiasts, nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

Day 3 to 6:
You will not want to leave the lovely Toggenburg, but the train ride to St. Moritz and the Engadin valley will make that up. It is one of the most picturesque rides in the world and part
of it is a UNESCO World heritage.
All cable cars and public transportation will be
included during your stay and we will share our insider tips with you. The Engadin Valley is a true outdoor paradise, with many options for longer or shorter walks, mighty glaciers, (mountain) bike rides, kitesurfing, etc.

Day 6 to 8:
Getting to Lake Lucerne is a long but spectacular train ride. We will include part of the Glacier Express from St. Moritz to Andermatt. From there you will head north until you reach Lake Lucerne from where your boat to the Hotel Terasse am See departs.
We leave it up to you if you would rather want to discover some history of Switzerland which was founded only a stone's throw away, enjoy the day along the lake or take the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm - Europe's first mountain railway.

* Possible Extension:
Rather than just going directly to Lake Lucerne your journey could be easily extended in the canton of Valais for 1 or 2 nights where you could visit the largest glacier of the Alps.
A farm stay or BnB could round things up.
