Day 1: Arrival in Geneva
Get some rest and enjoy the beautiful city of Geneva. Stroll along the namesake lake and through the old town. The city is easy to reach via train as it is probably the shortest train ride from an airport to the center - 7 minutes and you are right in the heart of Geneva.
1 Night
Day 2: Geneva → Montreux
Your hotel is conveniently close to the main train station. Your Swiss Travel Pass will be valid for the next 8 days. Check out all benefits at the bottom.
The Montreux Riviera with its Mediterranean flair, Chaplin’s World, or the romantic Chillon water castle are just some of the many superb activities that are waiting for you here. Are you into wine? Go on a tasting at the vineyards of Lavaux which is part of the UNESCO world heritage.
1 Night
Day 3 & 4: Montreux → Zermatt
From Montreux on you will not get deep into the Swiss Alps until you reach car-free Zermatt. Discover this beautiful alpine village which lies on foot of Switzerland's natural landmark - the Matterhorn.
Optional: Not close enough? Take up the cable car to the Glacier Paradise, at Europe's highest cable car station (3883 meters). One of the highlights is certainly the platform with a view over 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps.
For your second day, we will provide you with some winter hikes and options.
2 Nights
Day 5, 6 & 7: Grindelwald
From Zermatt, another beautiful train will await you which brings you all the way through the Swiss alps. Through the valley of Kander you will reach the blue Lake of Thun from where you will finally reach Grindelwald. Take a walk on foot of the Eiger Northface and discover more about the stories of what is still the alps hardest challenge.
Your next day will bring you up to the Schilthorn. Besides the James Bond-themed mountain station, it offers one of the best views on the three royal mountains of the Bernese Oberland - Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Looking for a thrill? Walk on a glass platform around the crack before heading back down to Lauterbrunnen which is always worth a visit.
For your third day in the Jungfrau area we will share our recommendations regarding winter hikes and other outdoor activities with you.
3 Nights
Day 8 & 9: Lucerne
Today you will enter the cultural heart of Switzerland - Lucerne. Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art. Get lost in this gem and explore more about the history of Switzerland.
Rigi, Pilatus, or Titlis: Which one would you rather go to? All of them are easily accessible from Lucerne and all of them are fantastic. Pilatus is obviously the closest one with a fantastic view of Lucerne and the namesake Lake. Rigi is often called the mother of all mountains and the boat to get there will give you a scenic cruise on Lake Lucerne. Or the well-known Mount Titlis which will give you another scenic view of the Alps and the many 4000m peaks around.

2 Nights
Day 10: Departure in Zurich
From Zurich it is only a short train ride to Switzerland's biggest city Zurich. Do some shopping in Switzerland's biggest shopping street the Bahnhofstrasse or explore the old town of Zurich. Maybe get on top of one of the churches to get the best view of Zurich or enjoy yourselves on the shores of the Lake.
The airport is very well connected to Zurich's main train station.
We say goodbye, "au revoir" or "auf Wiedersehen" and leave you with many unforgettable moments from Switzerland.
Optional: Extend your travel and stay another night in Zurich. That will give you the chance to visit Europes biggest waterfall, the Rhine falls in Schaffhausen.
