Guided | Self-guided with recommendations
Day 1: Arrival in Zurich & Business Day
Hotel reservation in Zurich Marriot Hotel from October 7th to 11th by you.
Zurich Airport is very well connected to the city center, with only about 15 min by train to the city center. The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city. For each evening we will recommend our favorite restaurants.
Day 2: Day Excursion - Rhine Falls & St. Gallen
You will leave Switzerland's largest city behind for the day and you will head up north to Europe's biggest waterfall - the Rhine Falls. By boat, you get on the Rock in the middle of the falls to understand the power of this natural spectacle. On the other side of the falls lies Castle Laufen.
Shortly after, you get the chance to discover Stein am Rhein, which is well-known for its well-preserved old town with painted facades and half-timbered houses.
Around early afternoon you stop in St. Gallen to discover the UNESCO world heritage Abbey district of St. Gallen. Its magnificent Baroque cathedral forms a unique historical ensemble. The Abbey Library - with Switzerland's most beautiful hall and ancient books will fascinate you.
Day 3: Day Excursion - Canton Aargau
Discover the cultural heart of Switzerland. With numerous castles and ancient Roman sites, this region of Switzerland convinces with its plethora of history and culture.
To get some insight you will meet your guide for a tour through the Castle Hallywyl. On a 90 min private tour, you will travel through time and experience history in its original setting.
For the afternoon you could discover the Vindonissa Legionary Trail - Nine atmospherically staged sites invite you on a journey into ancient times.

Day 4: Day Excursion - Lake Walen
Just around the corner of the Glarner Alps lies the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise. A short boat cruise will bring you to the Seerenbachfalls, the highest waterfalls in Switzerland. It is only a short walk to get closer to this natural spectacle. A small farm restaurant invites to linger around.
On your way back I'd love to invite you on a guided tour (public) through the House of Läderrach, incl. visit the museum, degustation and make your own bar of chocolate to take with you.
Day 5: Zurich → Interlaken (via Lucerne)
Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art. All train stations in Switzerland offer lockers, where you can store your luggage for some hours to explore the city and the lake.
If you are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off the boat and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.
Day 6: Jungfrau Region - Excursion to the Jungfraujoch
Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
Day 7: Interlaken → Lausanne
Cheese factory TBD
Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the rest of the day on the shores of Lake Geneva. A visit to the medieval Chillon Castle is always worth it.
Day 8: Lausanne
Have a little free time to discover Lausanne: Whether by bus or by bike, on foot or on skates, discover Lausanne, Olympic Capital: museum visits, a stroll in the parks and gardens or along the floral quays, excursions on the lake or in the vineyards, sporting, and cultural activities.
In the afternoon we organize a private walking tour through the vine terraces of Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage). In the end, you will arrive at one of the vineyards for a small degustation.
Day 9: Day Excursion - Lake Geneva & Jura Mountains
Half-day excursion through the Jura mountains. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and will show you some spots and hidden gems in the Jura mountains, such as one of the most beautiful show caves - the Grottes de Vallorbe.
Later on, you will go on a guided tour through the Espace Horloger to find out more about swiss watchmaking and what makes this swiss luxury good so special.
In the afternoon your guide will bring you to Geneva and you can explore the home of the UN, ICRC, and numerous other NGOs on your own. The Jet d'eau, flower watch, numerous luxury shopping ateliers, and the beautiful Old Town wait are awaiting you. Geneva and Lausanne are well connected (around 1 hour) and trains depart every 20-30 minutes.
Day 10: Lausanne → Zurich Airport (via Bern)
Lausanne and Zurich are perfectly connected by train. Without changing trains you'll get to Zurich Airport in 2.5 hours.
If time allows: Have a stop in our capital - Bern's cute Old Town which is also a UNESCO world heritage site; are you aware that the bear is not only the symbol of the canton? Bears live in the city center in a pit right on the other riverside of the old town.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
