Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Zurich
We will organize a private transfer from Zurich Airport to your hotel. Your hotel is located in the heart of the old town - perfect for your day of arrival to walk around, stretch out your legs after your flight and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.
Depending on your time of arrival you might be interested to head to the biggest waterfalls in Europe - the Rhine Falls, easily accessible by train.
Day 2: Zurich – St Moritz
Today the train will take you to the midst of the Alps. Before arriving in the Engadin valley you have to stop in Landquart anyway: If you would like to do some shopping or equip yourselves for your next days in the mountains, you might want to check out the Landquart fashion outlet.
The Engadin Valley is a true nature and outdoor paradise. St. Moritz was not without reason the birthplace of winter tourism and hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Despite its cosmopolitan atmosphere, it is the culture and tradition of this luxurious Alpine resort that has made it what it is today. Experience legendary service of the Badrutt's Palace in the heart of St. Moritz: joie de vivre and unrivaled well-being in an iconic Hotel.
Day 3: St Moritz
Enjoy the day in this beautiful mountain region. With all cable cars in the upper Engadin included you have 100% flexibility on your activity - There is so much to do here and we will suggest some of our personal favorites. Go, for example, on a train ride on the Bernina tracks to Alp Grüm. Offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers this UNESCO world heritage doesn't leave any wishes open.
For cheese lovers: Have a break at the alpine cheesery Morteratsch and follow every step of making this Swiss delicacy with your own eyes.

Day 4: St Moritz – Zermatt
Today we will add another highlight to your travel memories: The famous Glacier Express train ride. Over its entire length, the Glacier Express leads over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels over the Swiss Alps. Sit back and relax while the train winds its way through remote valleys, past sheer rock faces, idyllic mountain villages, over the Landwasser Viaduct, and through the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland. The new Excellence Class sets standards that are as high as the mountain peaks along the legendary route - window seat guaranteed, a seven-course menu and the Glacier Bar will round everthing up.
The Mont Cervin Palace is part of Zermatt – and Zermatt is part of the Mont Cervin Palace. This special connection has grown over 160 years. No cars, just tranquillity, clean air and idyllic mountains, all concentrated in the smallest of spaces.
Day 5: Zermatt
The day is reserved for you to discover the town of Zermatt and the surrounding area. Very popular is the 5 lakes hike in the morning to get a perfect reflection of the surrounding mountains.
Take up the cable car to the Glacier Paradise, Europe's highest cable car station (3883 meters). One of the highlights is certainly the platform with a view over 38 four-thousand-meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps.
Again with your included Peak2Peak Pass you can enjoy 100% flexibility and also discover the famous Gorner Grat train.
Day 6: Zermatt – Lucerne
Today you will head from the canton of Valais to the Swiss capital. But first, after the first hour of your journey, we will organize a guided walk through the vineyards of the Valais. During your excursion, you will learn about the countryside, history, and heritage of the wine and the vineyards of the area and get to taste a glass of local wine in the vineyards.
Your train journey then continues through the 14km long railway Loetschberg tunnel towards Bern. Stroll around Bern's cute Old Town which is also a UNESCO world heritage site; and are you aware that the bear is not only the symbol of the canton? Bears live in the city center in a pit right on the other riverside of the old town.
For your last accomodation we organize something special: The Bürgenstock Resort sets luxury standards in every way. High above Lake Lucerne, your Bürgenstock Resort journey begins amid contemporary design, innovative restaurants and two spa worlds (infinity pool) with breathtaking views.
Day 7: Lucerne
Lucerne's Old Town is rated every year among the most beautiful towns in the world. Enjoy the day on the shores of Lake Lucerne and take advantage of a boat cruise which is a perfect way to discover the picturesque lake winding its way through the mountains.
If you are interested in the history of Switzerland you might want to hop off the boat and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed. Or take the oldest cogwheel train of Switzerland up to the top of Mount Rigi, the ‘queen of all mountains’. We will provide you with our suggestions and you can decide wether to follow them or for example benefit from the Spa of the Bürgenstock.
Day 8: Lucerne: Day trip to Lugano
This day is reserved for your trip to Lugano (optional). Lucerne (central station) and Lugano are very well connected with direct trains in less than 2 hours (one way). Lugano is the largest town in the Italian-speaking canton of Switzerland. The city with its Mediterranean flair lies in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano. Stop in Bellinzona and discover the 3 Fortresses of Bellinzona. Romantic villages and numerous hiking trails are waiting to be discovered.
Day 9: Lucerne - Zurich Airport
The airport is very well connected from Lucerne which will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland".
