Forum of Swiss History Schwyz

The Forum of Swiss History Schwyz was opened in 1995 and is the headquarters of the Swiss National Museum in Central Switzerland. On a site where first grain and, later, defence equipment was once stored, one of the most significant museums of cultural history in the Alpine region now stands.

From the outside, the Museum is a Baroque granary and armoury dating from 1711; inside, visitors will be enchanted by its contemporary and spacious architecture. The Forum of Swiss History Schwyz is both a modern museum of history and a place to experience and encounter cultural history.
