Day 1: Arrival in Zurich
After your flight, a city stroll through Zurich might be enough for the day. We will provide you with a little map and information as well as our recommendation for your first swiss experience - a swiss fondue!
Your hotel is located in the city center and is easily accessible with public transportation.
Optional: A private transfer could be arranged
With an early arrival and enough motivation on your side, an excursion to the Rhine falls, Europes biggest waterfall, could also be an option.
Day 2: Zurich → Montreux
You will leave Switzerland's biggest city behind and make your way west to the french-speaking part of Switzerland.
Jump off in Bern: The bear is not only the symbol of Switzerland's capital, bears actually live in the heart of the city. Stroll around in Bern's old town which is part of the UNESCO world heritage and visit the bear pit (on a warm day they might be still out before hibernation).
With the vineyards of Lavaux just around the corner (UNESCO world heritage) you certainly would like to sit down in Montreux and taste one of the local wines and enjoy the Swiss Riviera.
Day 3: Montreux → Zermatt
If you haven't found the time to walk along the shores of Geneva, you might want to start the day with this before heading deep into the alps and the mountain resorts. Visit the famous Chateau de Chillon or the statue of Freddy Mercury.
Car-free Zermatt situated on the foot of Switzerland's natural landmark, the Matterhorn, is an absolute outdoor paradise.
Day 4: Zermatt → Interlaken:
Optional: To discover the natural landmark of Switzerland a little closer take the cable car up to the Glacier Paradise - Europes highest cable car station right next to the stunning Matterhorn (very weather dependent at this time of the year).
We will also share our suggestions for some indoor activities as bad weather alternatives.
Via the Lötschberg tunnel, it is easy to cross the alps to get to Interlaken. For a first impression of the royal three mountains (Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch) we include the cogwheel train up to Harder Kulm which departs directly from Interlaken. Enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains as well as the unreal color of both Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.
Day 5: Interlaken & Jungfrau region:
The cable car up to the peak of the Männlichen will be implemented into your travel package. From here you will have the best view of the notorious Eiger North Face and with the possibility of taking a short hike for a better understanding of what was the Alps' last big climbing challenge and its tragedies.
Optional: Jungfraujoch (weather dependant)
This experience will take your breath away. The view on the Alps' largest glacier - the Aletsch, as well as the surrounding four thousand meter peaks can only be described as stunning. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it from your first step: this is a different world.
Day 6: Interlaken → Lucerne
Before arriving in Lucerne we would like to show you something special: The Glasi Hergiswil is the only remaining glasswork in Switzerland where glass is still blown and shaped by hand. Discover how glass is manufactured and watch the glassblowers work with your own eyes.
From there it is only a short ride to Lucerne. It ranks amongst the world's prettiest cities and is rich in sights and attractions.
Day 7: Lucerne & Mt. Titlis
To start the day the excursion to Engelberg and Mt. Titlis will be included in your travel package and the Lucerne - Engelberg Express make it easy to reach.
For the afternoon and to put another highlight to the end of our trip we will also include a boat ride on one of Lucerne's historic ships which takes you on a ride on Lake Lucerne with the surrounding peaks of Mt Pilatus, Mt. Rigi and many more.
Day 8: Lucerne - Zurich
Lucerne and Zurich airport is very well connected which might give you some extra time to linger around or get a souvenir from Switzerland.
We say goodbye and leave you with many unforgettable moments from Switzerland.
