Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Zurich & Business Day
You mentioned a reservation in Zurich Marriot Hotel from October 7th to 12th
Zurich Airport is very well connected to the city center, with only about 15 min by train to the city center. The twin towers of the Grossmünster are not only Zurich's prominent landmark, visitors can also climb up the Karlsturm and enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.
Day 2: Day Excursion - Rhine Falls & St. Gallen
You will leave Switzerland's largest city behind for the day and you will head up north to Europe's biggest waterfall - the Rhine Falls. By boat, you get on the Rock in the middle of the falls to understand the power of this natural spectacle. On the other side of the falls lies Castle Laufen.
Shortly after, you get the chance to discover Stein am Rhein, which is well-known for its well-preserved old town with painted facades and half-timbered houses.
Around noon you can stop in St. Gallen to discover the UNESCO world heritage Abbey district of St. Gallen. Its magnificent Baroque cathedral forms a unique historical ensemble. The Abbey Library - with Switzerland's most beautiful hall and ancient books will fascinate you.
Day 3: Day Excursion - Lake Walen & Liechtenstein
Just around the corner of the Glarner Alps lies the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise. A short boat cruise will bring you to the Seerenbachfalls, the highest waterfalls in Switzerland. It is only a short walk to get closer to this natural spectacle. A small farm restaurant invites to linger around.
For the afternoon I would like to invite you to visit one of the alpine cheeseries, which still manufacture this Swiss delicacy in the old traditional way.

Day 4: Day Excursion - Tessin
Zurich and Lugano are very well connected with direct trains in almost 2 hours.
Lugano is the largest town in the Italian-speaking canton of Switzerland. The city with its Mediterranean flair lies in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano. Stop in Bellinzona and discover the 3 Fortresses of Bellinzona.
Day 5: Day Excursion - Lucerne
Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.
If you are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.
Day 6: Zurich → Lausanne
You will head from east to west where the language will change from German to French. Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the afternoon on the shores of Lake Geneva. A visit to the medieval Chillon Castle is always worth it or we could organize a degustation tour through the vine terraces of Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage).
Day 7: Day Excursion - Lake Geneva & Jura Mountains
Day excursion through Lausanne and the Jura mountains. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and will show you some spots and hidden gems in Lausanne and Geneva before he/she will take you up the Jura mountains to one of the most beautiful show caves - the Grottes de Vallorbe.
In the afternoon we'd like to invite you to a traditional fondue up in the Jura mountains from where you have a beautiful view of Lake Geneva. On a clear day, you may see the Mont Blanc as well.
Day 8: Lausanne → Bernese Oberland
Today a magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
Day 9: Day Excursion - Jungfraujoch Region
This day is reserved to explore the Jungfrau region which has a lot to offer. Head up the famous Jungfraujoch, or one of the many other mountains offering fantastic panoramas, visit the valley of the 72 waterfalls and enjoy one of the many hiking trails in the area. You might want to take a walk on the Männlichen, the small servant of the royal three mountains: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The notorious Eiger North Face was long time considered to be the last alpine challenge. A walk on the Mänlichen will let you dive into the tragic and heroic stories of this wall.
Day 10: Bernese Oberland → Zurich (via Bern)
Bern's cute Old Town which is also a UNESCO world heritage site; are you aware that the bear is not only the symbol of the canton? Bears live in the city center in a pit right on the other riverside of the old town.
If possible I'd like to organize a tour through the Parliament (only available 3 days before, as they are not operating during parliament session).
