Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Zurich:
Zurich Airport is very well connected to the city center. With only about 15 min to the city center, you can already benefit from your Swiss Travel Pass. Your hotel will be located directly at the main train station - perfect for your day of arrival to still walk around, stretch out your legs after your flight and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.
The famous Bahnhofstrasse and the Old town are within walking distance. Please be aware that on the 26th of December shops might be closed or have only limited opening hours.
Day 2: Zurich → Lucerne
Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.
First full day in Switzerland, we'd like to get you a first extra sweet experience. The Aeschbach Chocolate world: Immerse yourself in a world of pleasure and experience the world of chocolate like you have never done before. Learn all about the history of chocolate and the production of our tempting house specialties on an interactive tour.
A boat cruise which is included in your Swiss travel pass will round up everything and will take you into the snow-covered mountains.
Day 3: Lucerne → Wengen:
The train ride into the Bernese Oberland is a highlight itself. Following several lakes, especially the blueish Lake Brienz has to be mentioned here, you'll first arrive in Lauterbrunnen.
Lauterbrunnen is situated in one of the most impressive trough valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. With ist 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colorful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, the Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland. Maybe lock your bags for a moment at the train station and enjoy a walk through this beautiful town/valley and discover the highest free-falling waterfall of Staubern.

Day 4: Wengen
This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.
Day 5: Wengen → Montreux
As this day requires some train changes we'd like to recommend the door-to-door luggage service for a handsfree day through the Zweisimmen valley (drop off your luggage before 9 am at your reception and get your bags back in Montreux between 6 and 11 pm the same day).
Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
But hop off in Gstaad for a sledding experience that is fun for every age - promised! Fast descents and snow swirling under the skids – when tobogganing in winter, we all go back to being kids again. For groups and families, whether day or night tobogganing, the destination Gstaad offers tobogganing slopes for every taste (CHF 40 per adult for a day pass).
Day 6: Montreux → Geneva
As part of your travel arrangement we will include the entry into the Chateau Chillon: If ever a castle could fit the fairy-tale bill, the dashingly handsome Château de Chillon would be it, with its moat, double ramparts and riot of turrets and towers, plus knockout views of Lake Geneva and the French Alps.
Follow the northern shoreline of Lake Geneva to get to Geneva itself where you can enjoy the afternoon on the shores of Lake Geneva and prepare yourself for your New Year's Eve party.
Day 7: Geneva → Airport:
The airport of Geneva is the closest one in Europe. Within 7 minutes and regular departing trains, this is the easiest and fastest way to get to the airport. This will allow you to get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake as well. With your stay in Geneva, you'll get a free public transport card for your day of departure.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
