Trip Itinerary:
We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.
Day 1: Arrival in Zurich:
We will organize a private transfer from Zurich Airport to your hotel, located in the heart of the city, close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse (shopping district) and Zurich's Old Town - perfect for your day of arrival to go spontaneously for a short walk and get an impression of Switzerland's biggest city.
Enjoy some time at Zurichs' famous Christmas.
Day 2: Zurich and surroundings:
The shopping district Bahnhofstrasse and the Old town are within walking distance. For the afternoon we include the Lindt chocolate museum into your travel arrangement: The Lindt Home of Chocolate is a milestone in Swiss chocolate history and provides an attractive day-trip destination for chocolate fans all around the globe.
Day 3: Zurich → Wengen (via Lucerne)
As this day requires some train changes we'd like to recommend the door-to-door luggage service for a handsfree day through the Zweisimmen valley (drop off your luggage before 9 am at your reception and get your bags back in Montreux between 6 and 11 pm the same day).
Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.
A boat cruise which is included in your Swiss travel pass will round up everything before its time to turn towards the Jungfrau region and the snow-covered mountains.
The train ride into the Bernese Oberland is a highlight itself. Following several lakes, especially the blueish Lake Brienz has to be mentioned here, you'll first arrive in Lauterbrunnen.

Day 4 & 5: Wengen:
Located at 1.274 m above sea level at the foot of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, Wengen is a ski and snow paradise. You can reach the Jungfraujoch by train within 1.5 hours (discounted with your Swiss Travel Pass). During your train ride you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains.
(Optional) Skiing: Whether in the Grindelwald-Wengen, Grindelwald-First, Mürren-Schilthorn or Meiringen-Hasliberg ski areas - there is something for every skier and snowboarder. The entire Jungfrau Ski Region is located at an altitude of up to 2,970 metres and extends over more than 275 kilometers of pistes.
Prices: Approx. CHF 75 per Person/per day; Children approx. CHF 40 per child/day
Lauterbrunnen is situated in one of the most impressive trough valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. With ist 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colorful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, the Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland. Enjoy a walk through this beautiful town/valley and discover the highest free-falling waterfall of Staubern.

Day 6: Wengen → Montreux
As this day requires some train changes we'd like to recommend the door-to-door luggage service for a handsfree day through the Zweisimmen valley (drop off your luggage before 9 am at your reception and get your bags back in Montreux between 6 and 11 pm the same day).
Today another magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.
But hop off in Gstaad for a sledding experience that is fun for every age - promised! Fast descents and snow swirling under the skids – when tobogganing in winter, we all go back to being kids again. For groups and families, whether day or night tobogganing, the destination Gstaad offers tobogganing slopes for every taste (CHF 40 per adult for a day pass).
As part of your travel arrangement we will include the entry into the Chateau Chillon: If ever a castle could fit the fairy-tale bill, the dashingly handsome Château de Chillon would be it, with its moat, double ramparts and riot of turrets and towers, plus knockout views of Lake Geneva and the French Alps. You can visit it on the 24th or 26th (it is closed on the 25th).
Day 7: Montreux
This day is at leisure. Please be aware that the 25th is one of Switzerland's rare public holidays where literally everything is closed. So it's a good time to visit your friend in Lausanne (20 min via train).
If you'd like to experience the mountains once more: Rochers de Naye!
The picturesque ride rises up into the fresh mountain air. Climbing more than 1,600 meters in altitude, the railway passes fields, villages and forests. With increasing altitude, the narrow track along the slope offers ever-more spectacular views over Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains. In December, Father Christmas personally lives atop the 2,042-meter mountain.
Day 8: Montreux → Paris (via Geneva)
Follow the northern shoreline of Lake Geneva to get to Geneva itself where you can enjoy the morning on the shores of Lake Geneva. After lunch, you'll board the TGV to Paris.
We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
