Trip Itinerary:

We kindly ask for your understanding that the final tour itinerary including our detailed recommendations can only be provided after your confirmation and down payment.

Day 1: Zurich to Montreux

Your guide will pick you up at Zurich Airport from where you'll begin your journey west into the french speaking part of Switzerland.

If you'd like well stop by in our capital Bern which is not to be underestimated. It is not just the seat of our parliament, it is also a UNESCO heritage - did you know, that the bear is not only the symbol of Bern? Bears live in the city!

Continuing your ride through Switzerland the language will change from German to French. Arriving at the Montreux Riviera you can enjoy the rest of the day on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Day 2: Montreux:

Explore the vine terraces of Lavaux (another UNESCO world heritage) and go on a guided walk which ends up with a degustation of our local wines. There is a reason why Switzerland does not export that much of its own wine - we like to enjoy it ourselves!

Later you'll follow the norther shoreline to Geneva.  Home of the UN, ICRC, and numerous other NGOs. Stroll through Geneva's Old Town, climb up the tower of the St. Pierre Cathedral and talk a walk along the shores in the English Garden to Geneva's landmark - the Jet d'eau.

CERN - Find out more about the Big Bang! (tours are free of charge, but available only on-site).

Discover the largest particle physics laboratory in the World.

Day 3:  Montreux → Grindelwald

Still at the Montreux Riviera, we'll start the day with a visit to the medieval Chillon Castle.

Today a magnificent train ride is awaiting you - the Golden Pass. Personally, this is my favorite train line, even though it is short compared to the Glacier Express. Making its way up the steep mountain ridge you shouldn't miss a single moment! These tracks are also the only way crossing the nature parc of Gruyère - cars have to make a detour for hours to experience what you can do, stressless in one of the baroque wagons of the Golden Pass.

Combine food and hiking - get yourself a prepacked fondue rucksack in Schönried and walk to one of the giant fondue pots (seating areas) to enjoy your delicious fondue. The area of Gstaad and Zweisimmen ist known for its cheese delicacies. Then it's time to get to the Jungfrau Region.

Before we'll arrive in Grindelwald we'll stop by Thun for a quick walk-around.

Day 4: Grindelwald:

This day is reserved to explore the Jungfraujoch: Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.

During midday, we'll search some shade in the Glacier Canyon Grindelwald.

For the afternoon: First Mountain Cart! A fun way to get down the mountain for every age!

Day 5: Grindelwald to Lake Lucerne

We'll start with a beautiful drive along Lake Brienz. Potential stops at Iseltwald or the short walk up to the Giessbachfalls will be our entertainment program for the morning.

We will also visit the beautiful Aare gorge: In Haslital Meiringen the Aare River has cut a gorge in the limestone that is 200 meters deep in some places. Thanks to the walkways and tunnels, it is easy to hike through the entire gorge.

Your hotel is situated just on the shores of Lake Lucerne. Perfect for some time at leisure for taking a swim, using the SUP-boards etc.

Day 6: Lake Lucerne:

Via boat we'll reach Lucerne itself. On foot, you can discover Lucernea a little closer. Sitting on the foot of the mountain Pilatus, Lucerne is often voted as one of the prettiest cities in the world, featuring a colorful old town and 14th-century city walls, as well as covered bridges including the iconic Kapellbrücke with its 17th-century art.

Those who are interested in the history of Switzerland might want to hop off and hike part of the Switzerland trail or visit the meadow where the legendary oath of Rüttli was taken and therefore a confederation of the first three cantons was formed.

Day 7: Lucerne to Zurich:

On your way to Liechtenstein, we will pass the beautiful Lake Walen from where the mighty seven Churfirsten arise.

Pretty small we'll have a quick stop over in Liechtenstein's capital Vaduz.

A highlight to the end: Off the beaten track, we invite you on a cable car ride up to Staubern. Up there it provides one of the most spectacular mountain sceneries - the Alpstein mountains might be comparatively small, but due to their geological formations, they are even more spectacular. Your guide will leave you here.

Day 8: Zurich → Zurich Airport

We'll organize a private shuttle from your hotel to Zurich airport. This will allow you to maybe get some souvenirs or just enjoy a hot coffee on the shores of the Lake.

We are confident that this itinerary will provide some exclusive memories for you and your family until it is time to say: "Ade, Au revoir, ciao and hope to CYou again in Switzerland"
