Tirano

Tirano is a city located at the crossroads of Italy and Switzerland, in the Valtellina region. It is known for its rich history, cultural heritage and scenic landscape. Tirano is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is also the departure station for the spectacular Bernina red train.

Visitors can explore the city's historic center, which is filled with small streets, squares, and fountains, and admire the many historical buildings and churches. Notable buildings include the seventeenth-century Palazzo Salis, which houses a museum, and the Basilica, considered the most beautiful example of Renaissance architecture in the Valtellina region.
