Château de Vullierens

The architecture of the castle of Vullierens as well as its magnificent gardens and sculpture park constitute one of the most remarkable heritage of Switzerland with an incomparable 180° view on the Alps, the Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva.

The Château de Vullierens is considered a perfect example of early 18th-century architecture in Switzerland and was built on the foundations of a 13th-century castle. The 100-hectare estate has remained in the same family for 700 years.

In addition to one of the most modern iris collections in Europe with more than 400 different varieties and 200 hemerocallises, visitors can admire different areas constantly renewed through a park of over 30 hectares. Between April and October, about 110,000 flowers create a magnificent mosaic of colors with more than 18,000 late tulip bulbs, a collection of peonies and rhododendrons and an impressive rose garden.
