Museum Castle Thun

THE MUSEUM CASTLE

The castle museum has become reality since 2018. 130 years after the museum was founded and on the 800th anniversary of the death of the landlord, Duke Berchthold V. von Zähringen, the permanent exhibition in the keep has for the first time an exhibition on six floors. Not only the history of Thun, but also the monument itself - with the knight's hall and roof truss from 1434 - become part of the exhibition. The outstanding architectural significance of this cultural heritage can thus be felt during a visit to the museum and castle which is one of a kind.

Special exhibition swords - rapiers - sabers. The Thun Castle Foundation's collection includes historical weapons, uniforms, hunting culture and more.
