Sewing Machine Museum

The Sewing Machine Museum in Duernten brings the history of the mechanical sewing machine to life.

Several hundred historical sewing machines, accessories and objects from related fields offer you an exciting journey through the development of technology, tailoring and aesthetics over the last 200 years. The exhibition shows the historical and technical development from the end of the 18th century to modern times and gives an overview of the most diverse fields of application.

From simple household models to highly complex special machines - from different countries, from tools to status symbols, from industrial machines to toys - but always a technical masterpiece.
